Gauge:

8 sc stitches = 2” *When it comes to slippers and booties I don’t recommend using a normal gauge
swatch. I suggest making one sole and measuring the length. I find this to be a lot more accurate
than a swatch

Abbreviations/stitches:
M
sc = single crochet sl st = slip stitch
co
hdc = half double crochet st (sts) = stitch (stitches)

Special Instructions:
Pa
Always join to first stitch (not the chain stitch).
Always begin round in the first stitch unless otherwise noted. This is the same stitch that you will
be joining in.
The number at the end of each round in ( ) is the total number of stitches in that round (Rnd).
All photos show the 0‐6 month size. Concepts are the same.
How to find the center back stitch:
To find the center back stitch lay the sole down. Place
your hook along the foundation chain. Your hook will be
lined up with the center back stitch (photo left). If your
hook falls between 2 stitches choose the one on the
right. Turn sole away from you and join in this stitch.
