Communication is one of the most important elements of any successful quality management system.

This is made clear in the International Standard, as AS9100D, Clause 7.4 Communication requires that an
organization

Determine the internal and external communications relevant to the system, including:

a) On what it will communicate;

b) When to communicate;

c) With whom to communicate; and,

d) How to communicate.

As an internal auditor you must be able to communicate effectively with the Auditee, the Audit Client, the
Audit Program Manager and other stakeholders before, during and following audit activity.

This will be accomplished before, during and following audit activity in writing and verbally.
