ALLITERATION

Alliteration is the repetition of the initial consonant. There should be at least

two repetitions in a row.
For example: Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

**The first letter, p, is a consonant. It is repeated many

times. **

Directions: Underline the alliteration in these sentences.

1. Puny puma pit their skills against zebras.

1.Pick a letter (it needs to be a consonant). You might

choose the letter that your name begins with.

2. Next pick 2 nouns that start with the letter you picked.

3. Now pick a verb that starts with the letter you picked.

4. Turn the nouns and verb into a sentence.

5. Now add other descriptive words to the sentence to make alliteration. Try to
make the sentence as long as you possibly can, making sure that it still makes
sense.
