Shelby desires that each student is successful. She plans her instruction to meet all
the individual levels in the classroom. She regularly ties new information to prior

Shelby understands children learn in different ways and at different rates. Her
teaching style encompasses these differences as she reteaches skills or finds a new
way to approach the skill so the student is able to understand.

used a variety of communication tools such as computer, promethean board, charts,

Shelby has used several assessment strategies which have helped to determine
future goals and objectives. She allows time for students to correct mistakes,
making sure they are able to master the skill.

Most of the assessments have been informal since formal assessment usually takes
place on Fridays. I am planning on rearranging my schedule so Shelby will be able
to participate in formal assessments.

Shelby has done an excellent job planning on a daily basis. Her lessons are always
appropriate for different learning styles and levels. She always responds
appropriately to the unexpected!

I have not addressed long range planning with Shelby, but this will be addressed in
the next few weeks.

Shelby assumes many different roles while teaching. She teaches with confidence,
listens attentively to the students, and encourages those that are shy or unsure of
themselves. (Many times I have heard her say "you've got this"!)

Q31Area(s) of strength:
Shelby has been able to connect with grade level teachers both at Rhea Central and
county wide, reading coaches, and administration. She has taken part in a
professional development day, grade level meetings, and a data meeting. During
the data meeting IReady Reading and Math scores were discussed to implement
Tier II and Tier III instructional groups. She is always punctual, dresses
appropriately, and conducts herself in a professional manner. She is open to
constructive criticism and seeks to improve.
