THE CITY OF A MILLION MEMORIES

Bangkalan is one of regencies in Madura Island, Indonesia. It is also well-known as


Sholawat city which has a lot of Islamic boarding house. It finds almost in every side of the
city. In the other hand, Bangkalan has lots of visitors from around Indonesia in every year.
The transportation makes people easier to come there, like Suramadu Bridge that is the
longest bridge in Asia and abroad the ship only 30 minutes. Its cultures have been known by
people all over Indonesia. Bull Race is the most famous culture of Madura which has been in
19th century. SKEP becomes the only bull race field in Bangkalan and also the largest in
Madura. Every year the regent of Bangkalan always holds Bull Race competition and the
participants are from around Indonesia. Then, the culture of Bangkalan is well reflected in its
culinary heritage. The foods make visitors think of the richness and diverse as the various
cultures of the island. Some of the traditional foods are famous and have a lot of
connoisseurs. This city offers many luscious delicacies like Topak Ladhe, Tajin Sobih, Nasi
Serpang, Sate, and Kaldu Kokot. Some of those foods you should not miss them when you
come to that city. After that, Bangkalan Tourism has well developed by taking the heritage
and historical sites as the tourist objects that visitors must visit it. There are Aer Mata in
Arosbaya, Cemetery of Kholil Syaikhona in Mlajah, Museum Bangkalan, tomb of the hero in
Bangkalan, etc. Besides that, there are also very beautiful natural attractions and has been
known throughout Bangkalan. All of the objects are interesting and fantastic. But, Jeddih
Hills are more interesting than the others. In there, we can find beautiful stone carvings, blue
lakes, and there is a complete public facility. Finally, as a city full of culture, Bangkalan has
also become a tourist destination in Indonesia. The city presents something complete for
visitors, including foods, tourism objects, and cultures. This city will make you become
addicted to but will not kill you.

the other hand, Bangkalan has lots of visitors from around Indonesia in every year. The

bridge in Asia and abroad the ship only 30 minutes. There are many interesting reasons that
can attract visitors come to the city, such as the culture, tourism objects, and traditional foods.

Its cultures have been known by people all over Indonesia. Bull Race is the most
famous culture which has been in 19th century. It is a form of acknowledgment to the task of
the sustenance and blessings that had been given by god. SKEP becomes the only bull race
field in Bangkalan and also the largest in Madura. Every year the regent of Bangkalan always
holds Bull Race competition and the participants are from around Indonesia. Moreover,
Carok is one of madurese’s cultures which has bad stereotype in people. Many of people
consider that Carok is a cruel act and contrary to religious teachings even though the
Madurese tribe is thick with Islamic religion in general. But, individually many still hold the
tradition of Carok. Actually, the act was done against the Dutch colonialism in several
centuries. In this era, people misunderstand the true meaning of Carok and don’t know the
history.

Then, the culture of Bangkalan is well reflected in its culinary heritage. It’s culinary
always creates excitement with visitors. The foods make visitors think of the richness and
diverse as the various cultures of the island. Some of the traditional foods are famous and
have a lot of connoisseurs. When you travel to Bangkalan will not be complete without
having its traditional foods. This city offers many luscious delicacies like Topak Ladhe, Tajin
Sobih, Nasi Serpang, Sate, and Kaldu Kokot. Some of those foods you should not miss them
when you come to that city. Visitors can easily find so many delicious options in this city. In
addition, the price of the food is also very cheap and healthy.
After that, Bangkalan Tourism has well developed by taking the heritage and

Indonesia. The city is one of most visited place as the island of Madura. It presents something
complete for visitors, including foods, tourism objects, and cultures. This city will make you
become addicted to but will not kill you. It will make you a better person by learning from
