ADHESIVE

Structural adhesive used to connect the granite slabs to the foundation and to each other shall be a
two component high-strength epoxy adhesive supplied in the manufacturer's original packaging.
Adhesive shall achieve a compressive strength of 3,500 PSI and a tensile strength of 1,000 PSI in
accordance with ANSI A118.3.5 test methods.
Adhesive shall be Simpson Epoxy Tie Structural Epoxy Adhesive from Simpson Strong-Tie
Company.
Apply adhesive uniformly over surface to be bonded covering at least 144 square inches of the
contact area.
