ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOUR IN MEDIA ORGANIZATIONS

ABSTRACT
Organisation behaviour studies what people do in an organisation and how that behaviour affects the
overall performance of the organisation. Media organisations are different from other organisations.
Employees working in Media organisations have certain special demands. Individual performance is
taken into account, though employees work in teams. Creativity place important role in media
organisations. Usually content of the media organisations has short span of life. Content has to be unique
and attractive, otherwise viewers or readers lose interest. If it is an electronic media, every second and
every minute viewer’s have to be satisfied. Team work, work environment, inter-group relationship,
communication, and structure play critical role in developing content and running the organisation
effectively. Individual behaviour and group behaviour has to be assessed from time to time to get best
from the employees. Conflicts are bound to rise in organisations. If conflicts are management sensitively
employees can give their might to the media organisations.
