The Hollywood style of editing is what is considered the classical style, when films were first being
made this was just simple cuts, eventually becoming varied pacing cutting wise and more diverse

The 180 Degree Rule

The 180 degree rule is basically a rule that filmmakers follow to avoid confusing the viewer about Marc

straight through the two people, the 180 degree rule is basically that if a camera is getting a shot from Febr

The 30 Degree Rule a
l
This is a basic rule which needs to be followed in filmmaking. If you are shooting a single subject and u
you want to get two shots of the subject from two separate angles, you cannot have the second shot a
moving barely any distance at all from the first shot because when you cut between the two it will just t

look accidental and doesn't really give any shot variation for the scene so the rule is that the other

shot needs to be at least 30 degrees around the subject from the last shot because this will actually n
make a noticeable difference and draw some attention to the editing. (
