REVIEW PAPER
Abstract This paper examines a personnel selection is a critical enterprise strategic
problem in knowledge-intensive enterprise using Fuzzy and TOPSIS
method. This paper provides for writing the background, methods, results,
and conclusions sections of a good abstract.
Introduction Background generalized well and easy to understand so that the reader can
quickly grasp the intent of this study. The background examines a personnel
recruitment and selection directly determines the input quality of
humanresource . With the variety of candidates that exist in human resource
market, the employer must know which candidate matchesthe qualifications
required to perform the defined job in the best way. To solve this problem
using Fuzzy and TOPSIS method to know the weights of the criteria and the
ratings of alternatives.
Method In this paper the author has explained the usage of the method properly, but
the method is not described in detail. And it does not explain the origin of
the data in the get.
Result In the result explain about the Karnik–Mendel (KM) algorithm transfers the
fractional non linear programming (NLP) models of fuzzy relative closeness
into obtaining the maximum and minimum value through the switchpoint,
with which the computing converges in so few iterations.
The paper has several strengths :
In the result of paper has several strengths compared with Fuzzy and
TOPSIS method :
 KM algorithm transfers the NLP models of fuzzy relative closeness into
obtaining the maximum and minimum value through the switchpoint,
with which the computing converges in so few iterations.
 It is computationally efficient. The proposed method just needs to
compute the switch point.
 It is accurate. The fuzzy relative closeness is obtained by computing the
analytical expression, and the switch point is also the accuratevalue, with
which the alternatives can be discriminated clearly. But the original
method gives an approximate fuzzy result by connectingthese.
 The analytical expression presents a global picture of fuzzy relative
closeness for fuzzy TOPSIS method, which provides a way to
furtheranalyze the inner properties of the fuzzy TOPSIS method
The paper has several weaknesses :
 The weakness of this research is having too many formula but the
researchers did not explain in detail the formulas and symbols that are
difficult to understand by readers.
 The researcher did not describes from where the data taken, I think the
researcher must analyzes the data, it is very important to obtain accurate
data.
The paper is not present the data before and after the use Application of
fuzzy TOPSIS methods so we can not measure how effective this application
is used.
Conclusions There is no explanation of the results in the paper and did not added things
that a weakness in his research to be used as the development of further
research. It would be better if written in specific points than writing in long
paragraphs about the weakness.
