1. Type in the following table referred to by the above figure, in a new Excel book.
Make sure that you follow the same format (borders, shading…)

2. The blue columns/cells are supposed to be filled with the right formulas or
functions to calculate the values shown.

3. After completing the first two steps add the below to sheet 2:

The yellow cells of this table should be filled with the relative functions, so that when an
ID is entered in the white cell, the other cells will display the information relative to that
ID. The Final Letter Grade is computed automatically in function of the final grade. The
letter grade can be an “A” (grade >=90), “B” (80<=grade<90), “C” (70<=grade<80), “D”
(60<=grade<70) or “F” (grade<60).
Example:
 If I enter the ID= “201700003” I should directly see the following:

4. Add a new column to the first table and call it “E-mail Address”. In this column,
construct the email addresses of the students such as
Email Address: firstname.lastname@lau.edu (all in lower case)

Given the following information:

Write in sheet3 the above table and then use a function which enables you to determine
the quantity to sell so that the profit is equal to $40,000.00. Explain your work (i.e.
function you used with all its associated parameters).

Remark:
Net profit= Unit Price*Quantity to sell
- Unit Price*Quantity to sell* Taxes on Total Revenues
- Unit Cost*Quantity to sell

Question 3: [20%]

In Sheet 4 of this book, plot the function 𝑦 = 𝑠𝑖𝑛(10𝑥) ∗ 10 − 4𝑥 on an x-axis/y-axis


using 25 points to guide the curve.
Hint: the curve will look as follows. Make sure that you also change the format as shown
in the figure below!
