derstanding of Vision, Missions, Goals, and Targets of English
Education Department at IAIN Bukittinggi in Year 2018

Abstract— This research was due to find the level of understanding of the civitas academica of English education and stakeholder about
the vision, missions, goals, and targets of English Education Department of IAIN Bukittinggi in year 2018. This research has been done at
campus II IAIN Bukittinggi because it can not be denied that vision, missions, goals and targets are important for universities both private
and domestic. Each college has different vision, missions, goals, and targets, all of which depends on what each university will achieve. To
realize the achievement of the vision, missions, goals, and objectives, the vision, mission, goals, and objectives must be known,
understood and targets by all academicians. To find out how is the level of understanding of civitas academica and stakeholders of the
vision, missions, goals, and targets of the English education department, it is necessary to measure a level of understanding of the civitas
academica and stakeholders. The instrument used in this research was questionnaire using Lickert scale. The media must be validated to
the experts by using questionnaire sheet. After analyzing the data, it was found that the level of understanding of Civitas Academica of
English Education and Stakeholders’ about Vision, Missions, Goals, and Targets of English Education Department at IAIN Bukittinggi in
Year 2018 have an average of 89% very good (380 respondents) and 11% good (48 respondents), in understanding the vision, mission,
goals and targets.

1 INTRODUCTION

4 CONCLUSION
The research question that lead this research : how is the
level of civitas academica’ understanding of vision, missions,
goals, and targets of the English depatment of IAIN Bukitting-
gi, have been answered through theories, methodology, and

question is analysis in quantitative form. So the finding will be
numerical data.
Based on the analysis of the questionnaire, it can be con-
clude that civitas academica and stakeholders understand the
vision, missions, goals, and targets of the English depatment
of IAIN Bukittinggi with different percentage of frequency.
