Good values create a safe environment, which is a significant part of students’ learning
process
A lot of methods are used by teachers inside a classroom in order to improve the
learning process of students of different ages. Using storytelling techniques, doing dynamic
activities and changing regularly the activities are a few methodologies to make the learning
process more interesting and amusing for the learners. I want my classroom to be a place
where students can feel comfortable to flourish themselves in order to reach a proper learning
process. Creating a safe environment, promoting values as respect, empathy, kindness, and
teamwork is an alternative to achieve that aim. Those simple strategies can make a change in
a classroom. The benefit of this method is that it does not need to be adapted to the different
range of ages.
A teacher who is interested in their profession wants their students to properly learn
the content which is being taught. For this kind of teacher the environment in which their
students develop their activities is essential because even if it is something minimal, a change
must be begun from the start. For this reason, teacher’s attitudes should be taken into account
as a significant matter at the time of being in contact with learners. The use of values is
substantive in a classroom because students may see teachers as role models. Pupils learn the
knowledge that teachers give them, nevertheless they learn from the variety of attitudes that
colleagues and to my students as well because I want to be a good role model. The way a
teacher manages the classroom has an impact on the students’ learning process. Therefore,
for me it is important to have a good impact in my future students. I want to show through
At this point, it is important to separate two concepts that can be confused in this
context: fear and respect. Some teachers think that the students feel respect for them because
they do not speak in the classroom, however, in some cases, students could feel afraid of the
teacher and their reactions. If a teacher uses fear as a strategy to teach and make the learners
be quiet during a class, they would not learn properly because with attitudes as those, they
would not feel confident in the classroom. Hence, it is important to promote respect among
those individuals. Thinking about students as human beings with feelings and emotions
could be a useful technique for me to do this in my future. I believe that it will help me to
make the pupils feel comfortable and not to make them feel stressed or afraid in the class
because for me it is important that my future students enjoy the time in the classroom. I think
that will make a change in the way they learn the subject.

questions give a concrete idea of what empathy means. This value can be shown when
teachers are conscious that their students have more than just one subject at school, university
tasks to do and the teacher only makes this load harder to fulfil. Empathy should be mutual,
students, not a full-time worker. Students may know that they have other obligations to cover
in their lives. Because sometimes, a teacher is seeing as a character that only gives
knowledge or contents to learn. An example of what was said before is when a teacher has to
correct a test and students press them to have the results as soon as possible without thinking
that a teacher has more tasks to do outside of their professional life. This value can also be
expressed when teachers are aware of the student’s needs and when they promote the weakest
areas of the student’s learning process in order to improve their abilities. One of my
aspirations for my future is being a teacher who knows that not every pupil is interested in
learning the content that is being taught. In this case, empathy can be expressed if I, in my
future as a teacher, use activities that can be attractive for those ones who are not into the
specific content trying to catch their attention in order to make them learn.
In addition to the values that were presented before, there is kindness, which is one of
the most important values inside the classroom and outside of it. To start thinking about this
value is significant to know that every person is different in several ways, however this is not
a reason to treat every person differently in an incorrect manner. As it was said before, every
person has different needs and in a classroom. When that idea is plain to see, teachers could
try to be kind to every student and they should try to confine themselves to the different
situations presented in their job. In my future, I will try to make up for the needs of my
students because I think it can promote a lot of areas in the scholar life of the students.

make their dreams come true. For me it is significant to be a teacher that encourage the
students to reach their goals even though they are not completely sure of what they want.
Teamwork. On the other hand, is a method that can be essential to create a safe
environment in a classroom. It can promote the confidence between the students, which is
pretty useful to improve students’ learning process. In this context, there are different ways
to use that method. One is to allow students to form groups with the classmates they have a
better relationship. The other one is when a teacher makes the groups. In the first case is
better for the learners in the sense that they work with people they feel confident, they may
not feel afraid of making mistakes and to speak about certain topics. In contrast, when occurs
the other alternative, students can feel shy at the time of speaking and have issues connecting
with the group. However, I would like to use that method to create a community within the
classroom. Sometimes it is not a useful idea to let the students in their comfort zone if there is
an opportunity for them to learn from their pairs, which is what teamwork does. I believe that
a lot of activities can be developed through this method and working in groups may make the
intelligences. Nowadays, it is indispensable for teachers to know about that concept if they
want to take advantage of the students’ learning. A helpful alternative to increase the other
intelligence that students have is to recognize the strongest intelligence of them and then mix
them in groups. With that method, they can learn from each other and they can make
stronger the other intelligence in which they are weaker. I believe that to create a suitable
learning process.
In my personal experience I had a teacher of English in High School, who was always
worried about us, she helped and encouraged me to decide what major choose. She also was
students I want to make their learning process a good experience, not a hard load for them. I
believe that if I use all those values I would be capable of creating a safe environment in
In conclusion, there are a lot of methods to improve the learning process of students,
however, the results are not going to be always positive if those methods are applied to a
weak base. This means that a classroom environment should shape the base to apply every
method that a teacher thinks is going to get better results. A classroom with all the values
presented before should work as the base to have better results in the learning process of
students, which leads to developing a good communication between pairs and teacher and
students created by a safe environment. The use of those values can make a big change in a
classroom and in students’ life. Even though values can seem like something minimal.
Attitudes based on empathy, teamwork, kindness, and respect can form a strong base where
other strategies can be developed in order to reach a stronger community step by step within a
classroom. All those values have benefits on its own if those are used correctly. In such
manner, if all the values mentioned are used together in a classroom by teachers and students,
good results are going to happen. It can improve the learning process of students because
they are going to be learning in a place where the teacher is aware of the need of comfort to
community. We as future teachers should be inspired to build in our future classrooms what
we think is better to take advantage of all the abilities of our future students. With all the
values presented we can improve their learning process. Likewise we can encourage our
