Introduction on Environment:

Patuloy ang pagsisikap ng administrasyong Sabili na mapanatili ang kaayusan at pangangalaga ng

kapaligiran. Bunga ng patuloy na pagsisiyasat at pag-aaral, ay nabuo at nailunsad ang kamakailan
lamang na naaprubahan ng Ten Year Solid Waste Magement Plan para sa taong 2016-2026.

Iangat ang antas ng kamalayan ng mamamayang Lipeño.

>Garbage Collection and Waste Disposal Services (expanded to 34 barangays at present)

>Pangangalaga ng Kalikasan sa pamamagitan ng pakakaroon ng Material Recovery Facility o
MRF (2013)
>Pag-oorganisa ng Barangay Solid Waste Management Committee sa bawat barangay na
nasasakupan ng Lipa (2013)
>Naaprubahan na sa National ang Ten Year Solid Waste Management Program ng Lipa ngayong
taon kung saan maaasahang magkakaroon at mapapanatili ang mas maayos na pagkontrol ng
ating mga basura. Sinimulan itong pag ibayuhin noong taong 2015.

environmental laws and local laws as well as validated complaints and submitted
corresponding reports

>Two Million Trees Program (planted in the city majority of which are planted at Mt. Malarayat
Forest Reserve alongside with other agencies and stakeholders)
>Simultaneous Tree planting in 2013 and as a result there were around 93,000 trees planted in
various subdivisions, piggeries and poultry areas.
>development of old dumpsite into forest nursery and butterfly sanctuary (an average of
150,000 seedlings a year were collected from the forest nursery)
>Before, there were a lot of illegal poachers from neighboring municipality, reason why the
CENRO planted Fire Trees along the boundary of Mt. Malarayat Forest Reserve
>Planting of Native Trees in all public schools (elementary and high school)—purpose is to
educate students and teachers of the features and significance of each trees found in the forest.
>reforestation in the grassland areas of Mt. malarayat (approx. 2 hectares—as of today, are
fully grown and maintained by CENRO)

>Converted fetus into mini garden, enhanced over all landscape.
>Restoration of C.M. Recto Monument from non-functional into a mini floral garden
>Annual holy week project aimed at educating hikers of their responsibilities to protect the
fores reserve and I effect, indiscriminate dumping of waste and destruction of natural
resources were lessened.
