Strengths of the lesson:

 Maryam ‘took control’ of the class as soon as she stepped in!

 She was in control of her class during the entire lesson.
 She often reminded individual students – as well as the whole group – about
classroom rules, and she will reward them a star.
 Maryam is always making eye contact with her students.
 Maryam asks the students about the meaning of the “re-group”.
 Then she doesn’t explain the meaning, she goes strength to the books, works with
the activity to explain the meaning of the “re-group”. Excellent Mariam 
 Maryam does a good job in demonstrating the activity before the learners work:
For example: She shows the blocks of tens and cubes of ones, she shows the
students how re –groups the blocks.
 Then Maryam provides each peers with blocks of tens/ones to solve the
questions.
 Maryam uses multiple and varied classroom management strategies. She uses
these methods effectively (the results were positive). For example: wackily
hands, ringing alarm, and rewarding students with stickers. (excellent Maryam)
 Maryam walks around the class to check student’s work on the task.
 Maryam keeps the learners working, helps the learners during their work and provides
feedback.
 Maryam there is a good interaction between you and your students, the students were
engaged with you and working on the task.
 Maryam asks the students to evaluate the lesson level if it easy or hard by asking to
circle on the faces according to their lesson understanding.
Areas for development:
Maryam must set a long term goal of developing her English language skills. Luckily,
Maryam is already very fluent and very comfortable communicating with her students
and her colleagues in English. Now, she must focus on making less grammatical errors
when she speaks.

Final comment:
Overall, Maryam is doing an absolutely fantastic job on all fronts!!! She has learned and
applied a tremendous number of strategies.

A very big congratulations goes out to you Maryam!!!! Please keep up the fantastic work
until the very end of TP. You will make a fantastic teacher   
