CODE NO. 401 ‘THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS PART-IV GROUP-A EXAMINATION(SCHEME:2004) ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN-IV ‘Time: 18 Hours (10.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.) Date: 26", 27th & 28th December 2013 Max.Marks: 500 Day: (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) ‘Pass Marks: 250 At the end of the first day, before leaving the examination hall, the candidate shall submit tracings of all preliminary drawings of site plan and floor plans, explaining the entire scheme. ‘The tracings submitted on the first day will NOT returned to the Candidates. * ‘No Major deviation/change in the design from the one submitted on the first day shall be allowed. All answers should be written in English language only. . Assume suitable data wherever necessary and mentioned it at the appropriate place. This paper contains HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL FOR THE PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED, IN GREATER NOIDA. Acutely aware of the dire need of the special academic environment necessary for education of the physically challenged, a charitable trust based in New Delhi wishes to construct a partially residential higher secondary school for such children, in a prime residential locality of Greater Noida. The school will be conducting classes from Std. VII to Std. X, with two sections per class. The school would follow the CBSE pattern and will admit a maximum of 25 students in each section. Out of these two hundred students, hostel facilities will be provided to half of them. Sixty percent accommodation will be available for boys and the rest for girls. The school should be planned in such a manner that it is sustainable to the greatest possible extent. The Site: The site that has been donated to the trust for the purpose, is a flat rectangular piece of land measuring 120.0 m East-West and 165.0 m North-South. It is bound on the South and East by 12.0 m wide roads, with a 9.0 m radius road tangent on the South-East, The plot is presently covered by random uncultivated vegetative growth, 2 PART-IV ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN-IV ‘The Applicable Building Regulatior + Max. permissible F.S.1is 1.5 & max. permissible ground coverage is 25% of plot area. * Road Side setbacks are 9.0m while they are 6.0 m on the other two sides. + Maximum permissible height is 15.0 m from the centre of the adjoining roads. ‘The Space: A.
