* Express your commitment as a church members, and also what will you do to encourage

meaningful membership?

I am a member of Lambraw Yang .The name of my local church is Lambraw Yang Baptize
Church. Its association is Htingnai. My local church was founded one of the minister by Rev. Lawaw
La Aawng in 1950. This is the problem, why he was founded the church? We may think why the
church is necessary for our believing and salvation in our Christian life? Because of the church is the
body of Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23). All of we are parts of the body of Christ. We cannot live
separately. We must worship and pray together to God (Matthew 18:20).

Our commitment as a church member is to serve and worship our God in the name of Jesus
Christ. Firstly, we need a member of church. When we really believe Jesus, we must adhere and learn
that about Jesus’ teaching and preaching in our life. We must learn about good news and demand for
our sins to Jesus to become family of God or a member of church or disciple.

For recognize a disciple or member of church, we must baptize in the name of the Father and
the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19), (Acts 10:34-38). Someone who received good news and
baptized person is called disciple or church member.

A disciple or a church member must to adhere a lot of duty such as (1) he must go the church
in every week, participate in supper of lord, worship and pray. (2) He must adhere the rule of church.
(3) He must serve the duty of church when the church need. (4) He must give tithe to the church. (5)
He must fulfill the great command that Jesus’ command (Matthew 28:19).

I will encourage, the persons who interrupting from the church to become a meaningful
membership. I will remind and guide them for near with the church. I will communicate them about
the church, that how many important the church in Christian life and if you does not really a member
of church, you can lost a lot of challenges such as attending theological school, burying on the
Christian bury land and so on.

I will encourage for consist in church activity to become meaningful membership. The church
activity is necessary for meaningful membership in our Christian life. I will encourage for involve in
ministry of church that live such as do the will of God. That is one of the ministry of Christian life in
gentiles or other foreigners that do not believe in Jesus such as Burmese, Chinese and so on.

This is our commitment as a church members, and that I would like to encourage meaningful
membership.
* If you become an ordained minister at a small church, what would you do to have an effective
Christian education ministry?

If I become an ordained minister at a small church, I would like to develop the Christian
education department for alive better than normal. I will try to increase the budget of Education
department of the church. I will try to teach the Christian education in any ages according to level. I
will center ECCD for kindergarten children. I will build the foundation of faith to those children in
there. I will train ECCD teachers to become good teachers at least two times in a year. For the new
teach, I will allow ECCD Teachers Training Camp, KTCS Training camp and other ECCD camp. I
will make special talk to the ECCD students’ parents for good train to their children at home in every
year.

I will center Sunday school for primary and junior. Sunday school is an important part of our
Christian for the foundation of faith in the Christian life. I will divide the Sunday school worship
places for good teaching effect that places are organizing in one place or two places. I will increase the
numbers of teachers and train them with a camp in every year. I will make revision to them for
practice in every week. I will try to open Kachin language and English grammar in summer. I will
teach them level to level in each age. I will make meeting with the summer teachers for practice
lessons in every week. I will make Junior Camp for junior. In this camp, I will teach them bible as a
major and another music, health and disadvantage of drug are minor.

I will make Bible study camp and Music camp for youth in summer. In Bible study camp, I
will especially teach them the bible: how to study bible and how to pray and how to worship, special
talk about bible and other cases such as health, economic, social, disadvantage of drug and sexual that
the youth must know. In Music camp, I will teach them music theory, sight singing and music
instrument such as piano, guitar, violins, drum and keyboard that is useful in worship God with music.

In every year, I will make special talk for married persons about how to care and how to teach
to the children with the bible at home (Deuteronomy 6:7-9). In this course, I will only allow the age
that between the new married and got children but does not old. I will make special bible study for
aged in Sundays’ night. In this bible study, I will teach bible definition and about how to study the
bible for clever in bible and shall teach their children at home. I will make pray-cell on Wednesday’s
night for near with God in every week. I will make Self Bible Study for bible exam in ever year.
 This is my conception that if I become an ordained minister at a small church and I would like
to effective the Christian education ministry.

* In the course, we have centered on the church, theology and education. As you reflect on the
course as a whole, first express the distinctive rules of theology and education is educational
ministry of the church. Second, explain has theology and education should relate to each other?

What is theology? This is the great question for me, when I come to this theology school. In
that time, I do not know and not understand theology, but I have finished this Christian Education
course, I was going to understand to this theology. Now, I will show what is theology, how much
important theology in Christian life?

Firstly, (1) I want to tell what is theology? Theology is the study of God. It comes from Greek
word theo = God, logos = word: words about God about God or the study of God. Theology has been

defined as “that discipline that strives to gives a coherent statement of the doctrines of the Christian

faith, based primarily on the Scriptures, placed in the context of culture in general, worded in a

contemporary idiom, and related to the issues of life.” Thus theology seeks to study and express the

key tenets or beliefs of Christianity. Theology is a prerequisite for developing a relationship with God.
So, theology is very important in our Christian life.

(2) I want to tell about Education and Christian Education. We need to understand what is

education and what is Christian Education. I don’t understand and cannot be divided Education and

Christian Education, but I get solution to this problem in this Christian Education course. Now I want
to tell about what is education and how many important Education to grow the church in Christian
life?

Education is the formal and informal process of installing knowledge and skills into a child life
in order to make him/her a productive citizen. Education gives life a meaning, purpose, wholeness and
peace. Education supports theology in teaching and preaching to become Christian Education.
Christian education is distinct from other kinds of education because its goal is the transformation of
the whole person into the likeness of Christ (Col1:28). If Christian education is not exist, we cannot
worship what we do not know and understand. Our knowledge of lead us to faith and repentance,
motivate us to adore and worship Him, and prompts us to serve Him out of love and devotion. A
Christian educator would value theology because theological error or confusion in the teaching and
preaching of the church.

Second, I would like to tell about how theology and education should relate to each other? In a
church, there are many educated persons or pastors, but if they do not clever in theology, their church
cannot exist for a long time. As the same way, there are many theologians but if they do not educated,
their church cannot exist for a long time. A pastor needs not only theology but also education for lead
the church as well. We cannot divide theology and education because education supports theology for
preaching and teaching to become Christian education in church.

In mission field, we need education and theology to success missionary. If we do not

educated, we cannot know how to mission. We must know, when we teach theology, we need to
prepare how to teach theology with education. If we do not clever in theology, we cannot solve the
problem of theology that when someone ask detail about theology. So theology and education should
relate to each other.
