BRGY PAING INTER-ORGANIZATION BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2018

GROUND RULES

The official opening of the Basketball Tournament of Brgy. Paing will be on November 3,
2018 at 4:30 in the afternoon.
Submission for the list of team players shall be on or before October 31, 2018.

I. ELIGIBILITY OF PLAYERS
Shall be 23 years old and below on or before November 3, 2018.

II. TEAM REQUIREMENTS


 Each team player must be a bona fide resident of Brgy Paing or has been a resident
of 4 months from the commencement of Basketball Tournament.
 Each team shall be composed a maximum of 15 players and a minimum of 8 players
and they shall all be allowed to play on the scheduled game.
 Each team is required to have an official coach in all games. The assistant coach and
the rest of the 3 members of the coaching staff are allowed to stay at the team
bench during the game unless otherwise they are ejected from the court for
unnecessary acts during the game.
 Each team member shall be within the vicinity of the court during the scheduled
game.
 The team shall only be allowed to play if they are all in proper playing attire and
they must wear proper shoes.
 Allotted time for every quarter is 8 minutes during the elimination games and 10
minutes on the championship game.
 Allotted time for warm up is 5 minutes.

III. DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITIES


 Both coaches of the playing team should know the rules and regulations of the
game and must see to it that they are in total control of their players and their
benches.
 Only the coaches of the playing team are allowed to stand and make necessary
verification/ complaints during the progress of the game.

IV. TEAM DISCIPLINE AND CONDUCT OF PLAYERS


 A team must be present at the playing court 30 minutes before the scheduled
match. In case a team will not show up after a grace period of 30 minutes given will
lose by forfeiture.
 Any team who commits 2 consecutive game defaults will be withdrawn from the
tournament without prior notice.
 Any player, coach or manager who commits any of the enumerated acts of violence
or unsportsmanlike conduct shall be penalized with a technical foul and/ or a
suspension in the game depending upon the gravity of the violation or situation.
 Players who are under the influence of liquor or any prohibited substance are not
allowed to play.

V. SUPPLEMENTAL RULES
 The committee officials’ and referees’ decision is final.
 Joining fee Php 250 each team to be paid on or before November 3, 2018. Non-
refundable if and only if any team commits at one game default.

and they shall all be allowed to play on the scheduled game.

MECHANICS:
 Each organization should have two (2) female candidates.
 The candidate should be a bona fide resident of their organization they are representing.
 Candidates’ age should be from 15 to 25 years old.
 No height requirement
 Contestants will compete on the following categories or special awards:

 MAJOR AWARDS:
Miss Paing 2018
1st runner up
2nd runner
 Winners in the major awards will receive a crown, sash, bouquet and a cash.

 MINOR AWARDS: (winners will receive a sash and a cash)

Best Performer
Best in Creative Costume
Best in Formal/Evening Gown
Miss Intelligence

 SPECIAL AWARDS: (will receive a sash and a cash)


Miss Congeniality
Miss Photogenic will receive a sash, cash together with her picture with photoframe

Greetings of peace and prosperity!

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Paing will be having fund-raising through Fun Run to support
upcoming programs, projects and activities of Sangguniang Kabataan for the benefit of the barangay as
well as the katipunan ng Kabataan. The said Fun Run will be held on November 17, 2018 (Saturday) at
5:00 am.

In this regard, may we invite you, your family and friends to join the said activity. There will be two (2)
categories running for the 3K; kid and adult. A registration fee of Php 100 for the adults including teens
and Php 50 for the children inclusive of breakfast kit, and race bid shall be collected per
participant/runner. The amount to be raised will be used for upcoming projects of Sangguniang
Kabataan. The said race shall start/end at Barangay Plaza, Paing, Bantay, Ilocos Sur. Prizes awaits for the
third to first finishers.

Come one, come all! Your support means a lot! Let us be a part of this fun run, not just for a cause, but a
cool fitness regimen for a healthier you and a better community!
