CHAPTER - IV

ANALYSIS & INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of data collected on
cardiopulmonary resuscitation among college students in selected colleges of
Jabalpur (M.P.). Sixty students were selected for assessing the knowledge
about Cardio pulmonary Resuscitation guidelines. Analysis is a process of
organizing and synthesizing data in such a way that research questions can be
answered.

Interpretation is the process of making sense of the result and examining the
implication of finding within the broader content.

The finding of the study were analyzed and arranged under the following
sections.

Section I : Distribution of sample according to demographic data.

Section II: Assessment of Pre-test knowledge score.

Section III: Assessment of Post-test knowledge score.

Section VI: Comparison of mean ,standard deviation and p value of sample

knowledge about CPR guidelines and selected variables.

To compare the pre-post test means, paired t test was computed and the data obtained were
presented in table 15. Pre-Post test score concerning to the knowledge on CPR among B.Sc. I
year students of selected colleges of Jabalpur (M.P.) are depicted in above table
and presented in graphical presentation. The knowledge score of pre test had mean
value 10 and SD 2.15 whereas post test had mean value 18.41 and SD 2.47. To compare the pre
and post test mean scores paired t test was computed and the results indicated significant
difference among the group as the obtained ‘t’ value 20.50 (df=59) was much higher than the
required level of significance therefore null hypothesis was rejected.
