Subject: Chapter 5- Understanding Aram American Children and Adolescents

Objective: Ensure students learn about Arab American culture. Students will be
able to understand the families, religion, language, cultural, and socioeconomic
characteristics of Arab Americans.

Materials:
*5 question assessment

*figure 5.1 from Multicultural Education of Children and Adolescents and


flowchart

*pencils

*PowerPoint

Procedure:

 Begin by presenting PowerPoint, asking questions throughout


 Address flow chart
 Have students individually complete assessment and turn in at end of class

Assessment Activity:

Students must answer a series of multiple choice and true/false questions and get at
least an 80%
