Voice
Singing open-mouthed
Singing close-mouthed
Piano
Press the keys without producing any sound, and pressing the
sostenuto pedal in order to leave that strings for natural resonant.
The singer will have a wireless headset microphone, which will send the sound to a computer, to
be processed by the electronic processes programmed in the patch.
The processed sound will be sent to a speaker placed inside the resonant box of the piano,
pointing inside, trying to hide it from the audience as much as possible.
- Convolution: mixing the voice with the reverberation of the piano strings.
- FM modulation: modulating the voice with a sine wave with pitch B4.
This processes are mapped to be controlled in a range from 0 to 100. The control of convolution
process could be done with a proximity sensor placed in the piano, so when the singer is going
away from it, it will increase the amount of “wet”, from 0 (next to the piano) to 100 (farthest point
from the piano).
If using a proximity sensor is not possible, it could be also controlled by someone else live during
the performance, as it is done with the FM modulation. The only condition for this musician in
charge of the electronics is not being on stage, not visible at all.

No preguntadme nada. He visto que las cosas Don’t ask me any questions. I’ve seen how things
cuando buscan su curso encuentran su vacío. that seek their way find their void instead.
Hay un dolor de huecos por el aire sin gente There are spaces that ache in the uninhabited air
y en mis ojos criaturas vestidas ¡sin desnudo! and in my eyes, completely dressed creatures -
no one naked there!
