for educators Proverbs 3:3-4

NIV - Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on
the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and
man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

RSV - Let not loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them on
the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.

KJV - Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the
table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and
man. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

your heart. If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputaCon for good judgment
and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself.

One of the admoni9ons I have given my daughters is to be a “learn-it-all”, not a “know-it-all.”

God’s powerful Word is living and ac9ve and will give us the knowledge and wisdom for every
human situa9on we might find in our schools. Trust Him for the answer to your ques9ons. Trust
Him for the instruc9onal method and style that He created in You. Ask Him for help each and
every day before You begin your day or even before each lesson you teach. Be faithful to your

school and always, always, always do that right thing before the Lord. Then you will even have
favor with your students and colleagues. May it all point to Him and give Him the glory.
