Senior PRIDE Night

Come celebrate the Passion, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Extraordinary talents that define the Class of 2019. This
occasion will recognize ALL members of the Class of 2019 for their accomplishments. We will also have spectacular perfor-
mances by some of our most talented Bears and, if you pre-ordered your Yearbook, you will receive the yearbook to take
home with you at the conclusion of the event. Parents and friends are invited to attend and refreshments will be served.

YEARBOOK DISTRIBUTION CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION

Place: Gym Caps and gowns will be distributed Thursday, May 16th &
Seniors Only: Friday, May 17th at lunch. If you haven’t ordered your
Wed. May 22nd (at PRIDE Night) cap and gown, you can contact Mrs. Douty in ASB (Rm.
May 23rd & 24th (During Lunch) 211) or visit the Josten’s booth on campus when they visit
Please Bring Your I.D. during varied lunch times.
Cap and Gown Orders MUST be completed by

Seniors may pick up their diplomas in the front office.
Date: Beginning Thurs. May 30th, 2019
Time: 8:00am – Noon
Where: Main Office, Poly HS
Each graduating senior will receive 8 free tickets during
the 2nd graduation practice (5/28) to give to their family
and friends. If your FAFSA , or Dream Act application, is
completed by 3/1/19, you will receive 2 additional tickets
to graduation!

For Wednesday’s Practice: You may want to bring sun-

screen, water, and a hat for outdoor warm weather pro-
tection.

Report to Poly by 7:30 am. Buses will depart Poly at

8:00am. DO NOT be late! Poly students are NOT allowed
to park on King’s campus, and missing practice means
you WILL NOT be able to participate in the ceremony!

Admission Tickets:
EVERY ATTENDEE MUST HAVE A TICKET – Ages 2 & Up! Each gradu-
ating senior will receive 8 free tickets during the 2nd graduation prac-
tice to give to their family and friends. You will receive 2 additional
Graduation Tickets if your FAFSA is completed by 3/1/19!
DRESS CODE FOR GRADUATION
Semi-Formal
(Dresses, Slacks, Shirts and Ties)
For Ladies, flat shoes or wedges (no more than 3” in height)
are recommended.
Spiked heels WILL NOT be allowed on King’s football field/track.
For safety reasons, heels/wedges higher than 3 inches WILL NOT be
allowed. Students will be checked prior to entering King’s gym and
the dress code will be strictly enforced.
GRAD BASH @ Universal Studios Hollywood
Date: Friday, May 17th, 2019
Time: 2:00 PM (following 5th period) - 2:00 AM (5/18)
Place: Departure from Poly Gym or Theater
Return: 3:00 AM (approx.)
Dress: Proper Casual Attire (see dress code below)
Tickets: Purchase tickets from Hati/Bookkeeper
Cost: $110.00
Price includes admission to Universal Studios Hollywood
and a private party for the Class of 2019 from 9:00
PM—2:00 AM! You will also be treated to a concert by
an A-List Headliner!
***You must be a GRADUATING SENIOR to attend! ***
Grad BashTickets are NON-REFUNDABLE & NON-
TRANSFERRABLE!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!

IMPORTANT – SPECIAL NOTES FOR GRADUATION
Many of the freedoms that seniors have are based on the premise
that graduation will be a respectful, dignified and joyous occasion!
Therefore, inappropriate behavior such as bringing beach balls, blow-
ing horns/air horns & bubbles, etc., will result in removal from the
ceremony.
Graduation practices are MANDATORY!
If a student misses a practice, he or she may not
be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
Only Floral Leis are allowed to be worn and MUST be worn around
the graduation cap. Any type of Lei (candy, money, floral, etc.), hung
from around the neck, is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Graduation Caps
CANNOT be decorated with any other objects or writing.
GRAD BASH - RULES AND REGULATIONS
 Absolutely NO Alcohol, Drugs, or Weapons (real or
toy) of any kind are permitted.
 Universal Parks are SMOKE–FREE Parks and will not
tolerate smoking/vaping in the park on GRAD BASH.
 No student will be permitted to leave Grad Bash prior
to park closing, unless accompanied by a chaperone.
 All prescription medication must be carried by a chap-
erone. Any student in need of medication must have a
physician’s order on file with the school health office.
Asthma Inhalers are an exception to this rule and may
be carried by students.
 ALL students MUST adhere to the Dress Code.
 Absolutely NO LIQUIDS, FOOD, LASER POINTERS, or
PERSONAL VEHICLES are allowed.
 All participants are subject to search by Poly HS/
Universal Studios Staff/local police departments

Universal Studios GRAD BASH Dress Code

 No backpacks or purses. All bags will be searched at Poly AND by Universal Studios Security. ONLY bags smaller than 8.5”X
5.5” (half-sheet of paper) are ALLOWED.
 No shoes with built-in wheels, inline skates, scooters, Segway transporters, hover boards, etc.
 No matching clothing, clothing with school logos or team logos (includes Poly apparel/professional or college sports teams)
 No extremely revealing clothing (i.e. bathing suit tops or bottoms, see-through clothing, etc.) and/or clothing with obscene, lewd,
or offensive images, graphics, or design
 No self-defense equipment (pepper spray, mace, stun guns, etc.).
 No selfie sticks
 No clothing or belts with spikes, sharp studs, chains.
 No Headwear (hats, bandanas, beanies, etc.)

Failure to follow the dress code may result in denial of admission to the Grad Bash event.
