I. Areas Identified for Development of Professional Practice with Technology (Areas in which you need/want professional
development)

No. Areas Identified for Development Rationale/Sources of Evidence (why?)

1 Interactive Promethean Board There is an interactive Promethean Board at the front of the classroom in between
two whiteboards. Students now interact with it for videos, setting timers,
researching information when doing collaborative projects and when reviewing
notes using the powerpoint slides.
2 Nearpod https://nearpod.com/

Nearpod is a tool used for both teachers to create interactive lessons and for
students to have a voice and take ownership of their learning. It has the ability to
evaluate student response live or with post-session reports. The lessons can
automatically be differentiated for teachers as well as creating interactive lessons.
Educators can add their existing lesson plans to Nearpod and adds interactive
features such as Virtual Field Trips, 3D Objects, Quizzes, Polls and Open Ended
Questions.
3 Flipgrid https://flipgrid.com/

Flipgrid is an engaging video discussion platform for students today to share and
discuss. It is a tool that empowers student voice and gives them a stronger voice in
the classroom. Students feel more empowered using social learning. There is an
option to take Flipgrid global with other educators and expand my students’
exposure and networking by having #GridPals. This is a great way to appeal to
students using modern day technology and also getting them to interact with one
another via technology.
