Introduction
At times it may be necessary to conduct hydraulic oil pressure tests for trouble shooting purposes.
This document describes the location of test ports on the machine and safety precautions.
Required Tools
Use a 3000 psi pressure gauge, and high pressure hose equipped with quick-couple connector.
Safety Precautions
Before performing pressure tests, do the following.
1. Park the machine in a secure area, clear of mine traffic flow.
2. Apply the park/emergency brake and ensure that the red park/emergency brake light is
illuminated.
3. Install the frame lock in the center hinge area, unless testing steer pressure.
4. The operator remains in the operator's compartment for the duration of the pressure test.
5. A second person installs the pressure gauge and reads pressure.
! WARNING!
Two people are required to conduct pressure tests. One person operates the machine and
remains in the operator's compartment for the duration of the pressure tests. The other
person installs the pressure gauge and reads pressure.
! WARNING!
Do not attempt to service hydraulic components while the circuit is under pressure. Do not
attempt to service any component while the machine is moving.
! WARNING!
Before servicing any hydraulic components, make sure that accumulator pressure is at zero
psi.
