Technology Rules and Regulations for Miss DeVito’s Class.

Below will be the rules regarding appropriate technology use in our classroom. If a student or parent/guardian has
any concerns or questions regarding the listed rules please contact me at missjordandevito@gmail.com or at (609)-805-
1858. Students and parents/guardians should understand each rule listed if a student is to break one of the following rules
they must be prepared to face consequences. When finished going over each rule please sign and date at the bottom, cut
out along the line and hand in to the instructor.

1. ALL SCHOOL RULES AND AUP POLICIES APPLY

2. Cellphones will not be allowed for use in class unless permitted for school-related activities/projects
or emergencies. There is to be NO cellphone usage during lectures. Quietly listening to music with one
headphone in during free time or projects is permitted, but only when given permission from the instructor.

3. While in Computer Labs, or using school-provided computers students will not be permitted to go
onto social media or other “personal sites”. All work done on computers should be purely for research
purposes. If the student is found to be on a personal email, or gaming site they will be asked to close the
application and return to research. If a student refuses to comply after two verbal warnings from the instructor
their computer lab privilege will be revoked for the day. Continued violation of this rule may lead to the student
fully losing computer lab privileges during the semester.

4. No personal devices should be brought in to class other than a mobile device or camera. Students will
be required to take photographs of their artwork throughout the year, it is critical that students be able to use a
mobile device or digital camera to photograph. However, no other personal devices may be permitted tablets,
computers, or other devices should be left at home. The school and instructor are not responsible for any lost,
stolen, or broken property that a student brings in.

5. Students may only take pictures of their work or exhibits. Students are not permitted to take pictures of
other students, the instructor, or any other student’s work. Students may only take pictures of their own work to
be used in their student portfolios. Any violation of this rule will result in the student losing the privilege to
photograph while in school, which may negatively affect their grade as all students must create a digital
portfolio with images.
