INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND
The plan should guide the LEA’s use of education technology for the next three
years.

List specific start and end dates (7/1/xx to 6/30/xx). Provide a brief overview of
the LEA, its location and demographics and/or share a link to the LEA’s
website.

Describe how a variety of stakeholders from within the LEA and the
community-at-large participated in the planning process.

The technology plan committee is represented by all stakeholders. During the


summer and winter institute the development of the technology plan takes
place. Implementation of an effective plan that enables parents, students,
educators, leaders and community member that will benefit from investments
in technology. The committee members are listed below:

Summarize the relevant research and describe how it supports the plan's
curricular and professional development goals.

o In order to reach the school districts curricular goal the plan needs to
consist of major criteria, which are creating an opportunity for global
learning connections, survey, analysis of the student progress and
projects and classroom observations. Implementing technology in
classroom will help students develop strong technological skills needed
in the 21​st​ Century, it will increase the academic achievement, and
group understanding of technologies in their personal, academic and
work environment.

o The plan’s goal is to empower the students learning experience.
Students will be fully engaged inside and outside both in school and
outside. They will be prepared to active, creative, knowledgeable in their
studies and ethical participants in our globally networked society.
Educators implementing technology in their classroom will be able to
measure students achievement and use assessment data for
continuous improvement.
o The planning committee gathered information through National and
State for the technology plan from conducting school surveys,
classroom observations and the analysis of the students work and
projects.

CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.


The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use


of digital tools.

What technology tools are available in the classrooms?

EPSON projectors in each classroom.

How does technology assist the students and teacher with assessment

Teacher are able to use these digital tools during the instructional block to
administer curriculum work, conduct research, identify and have a
comprehensive infrastructure for learning. Students taking the NWEA ELA and
MATH MAP and statewide assessments. There are many online test prep
programs such as Compass learning, THINKCERCA, Eureka Math and Math
playground which students have access to in school and at home to help
study.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use


of digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.

What technology tools are currently available to students?


Students have access to Google Chromebook laptops and 3D printers

What is the appropriate access the available technology in the


classroom?

Students are given a technology agreement form from the school. After,
students will have access to their assigned Chromebook laptop during their
instructional blocks. The 3D printer is available during STEM periods.
Describe goals and an implementation plan,​ ​with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align
to the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how
the LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.

How will technology improve students academic achievement and create


learning experiences?

Training takes place to ensure that teachers know how to operate their smart
boards to have a successful interactive and engaging instructional lesson
through Google slide, Powerpoint, Kahoot, and etc. Depending on the school
district teacher are required to have two smart boards in the class, for ICT
classroom that require two teachers who are parallel teaching. Base on the
class schedule teacher have a time when student can use the laptops from the
technology cart. Parents are provided with online account information for
PowerSchool that allows the parents to keep up with students academic
progress. Teacher will use the document camera during the literary block. This
tool is effective for collaborative teaching and student engagement. STEM
classes are offered in every grade statewide with a goal to introduce advanced
technology such as robotics and 3D printing of designs the students create on
their laptop. The long term goal, school administrators must create an
appropriate budget for online curriculum in the school and laptops that need to
be purchased for the students. Lastly, a management tool in the classroom
with be ClassDojo, which will allow teachers to provide incentive once certain
points are reached.

What is the implementation plan of technology?

The teachers will be provided with professional development opportunities in


using technology in differentiate to meet the needs of all learner. This
professional development will take place on a monthly basis, which will keep
the teachers abreast to changes and new programs. The use of smart boards
in the classroom will create an engage and collaborative lesson plan.

Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.

How will the teachers address internet safety?


The technology is connected to the curriculum and teachers will be able to
assess curriculum from www.EngageNY.com and
www.Sciencedimension.com
identification of internet content for classroom use including Thinkfinity
website.
How will appropriate educational online be modified?
Teacher will have access to a software called Digital Eagle which will allow
them to monitor students online activity, online protection is installed on
students computer to block inappropriate sites. This process takes pic in the
beginning of the year.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency


and integration skills and needs for professional development.

How will this plan meet the needs for teachers and administrators in
professional development?

Prior to conducting a PD session a survey will be done to help identify areas of


need and improvement. A technology integration specialist will provide quality
technology professional development in the schools, to coach and give
classroom support to assist teacher in attaining proficiency.

Once data is collected and analyzed from professional development


sessions, what are some regional opportunities that have to be met?

School staff members will be required attend an annual training during the
school year in regards to technology related services.

Describe goals and an implementation plan,​ ​with annual activities, for


providing professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs
assessment data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.

Teachers are required to attend professional development at quarterly


Brooklyn staff technology team meeting. The goal is to utilize current
technologies to student skills that are transferable to future technologies,
identify and acquire appropriate technologies from students with special
needs, and report to stakeholders the curriculum work of core curriculum
committees.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed
to improve education services.

​ Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning


resources, technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that
will be used to support the Curriculum and Professional Development
Components of the plan.

What technology tools are available to conduct at home communication?

Each teacher is provided with a Dell laptop and a gmail suite account. The school has
high speed internet of 400mbps. The site PowerSchool will be used to manage
grading, attendance, and student-parent accounts. Classdojo will be used to sent viral
messages to the families and teacher can privately message parents on it.

What are some electronic learning resources that are used to instruct and/or
assess students learning?

Online resource textbook such as ConnectEd, ThinkCERCA, and Science Dimension


are available for teachers to use during instruction. Students will use Compass
learning for test prep and skills practicing Math and ELA in grades 3-8. Kahoot,
Learning Odyssey, Math playground, Typing, Eureka Math are programs designed for
each grade level. Teachers use Pearson, Teacher Pay Teachers and other resources
in the classroom.

Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking


and telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.

To improve the plan’s goals what technologies can be implemented?


Student will have Chromebook laptops in their homeroom class and have after
school access to a school computer lab with all the available curriculum resources
the school provides.

How will underserved population acquire additional needs of


technology?
The families who are underserved and don’t have access to internet at home
will have weekday and weekend access to public library. The neighborhoods
cable company will provide affordable internet plan and computers to the
underserved families.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT


The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in
response to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.

How will the district test whether the implementation of the LEA plan was
success to teachers and student learning?

The third quarter in the school year a summative test data will be collected and
analyzed to determine if the implementation of technology in the classroom
was success and effective in student academic achievement.

Who will participate in the school’s evaluation process?

The members on the technology plan committee such as administration,


elected school officials, school leadership team, and community members will
monitor the progress and evaluate the process.

Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation,


including a description of the process and frequency of communicating
evaluation results to tech plan stakeholders.

How is responsible for data collection? How often will it be summarized?


Data will be collected by the school district technology integration specialist at
the third quarter (end of the school year).

How will the stakeholder provide suggestions to improve technology in


the evaluation process?

Stakeholder will be in attendance at board meetings and professional


development meetings to provide an input into the vision and school programs.
