PHILOSOPHY
I believe that almost anything can be achieved through hard work and determination. I have not

always succeeded in everything right from the start in my life and I don’t expect that to change. I

maintain the belief that if you want something you should do your utmost to achieve it with your

own hard work and sacrifice. I also believe that anything can be learned by anyone no matter

who they are or where they come from as long as they are given the chance.

CSCS, experience with operating a Metabolic Cart, ECG, Heart rate monitor, and other physiology

equipment, experience with independent research involving exercise physiology, with emphasis

on compression technology, VO2 max testing, hemoglobin testing, and blood lactate testing.

Experience with fitness prescription from clients ranging in their early 20s to middle 40s.

Background in anatomy & physiology, theory of strength and conditioning, exercise physiology,

Spent the last summer working with my fitness prescription client Rennie Root. Met with her

twice a week to work out based upon a strategy to achieve her individual goals.

Responsible for the well-being and coaching of 10-12 children ranging from 7-14 years old.

Needed to have a great attitude, always be on time, inventive and patient. Also needed to be able

to meet the physical demands of working long hours. Last summer promoted to administration

position and assisted the senior camp officials in tasks necessary to the functioning of the camp.

Additionally was employed by the camp director outside of camp for a variety of tasks. Typically

as labor but also for inventory of exercise equipment, personal fitness inquires and other exercise

related affairs.

field club every Sunday. Volunteered with the Special Olympics young athlete play day, Volunteer

with Loras admission office for scholarship weekends. Exercise leader for the Du-it in 2 initiative

and go the distance day at Loras. Leader of an independent research project involving the effects

of specific modalities on human exercise. Attended the 2018 Accredited College of Sports

Medicine (ACSM) conference. Internship with the Western Dubuque strength and conditioning

and cross country programs. Cleaned/ did yard work for Professor Molly Schreiber at Loras

College.
