NARRATIVE REPORT

Our group conducted our interview last July 02, 2018 in Miggies Eatery located in
San Agustin, Pili, Camarines Sur. We interviewed __ , owner of the business. Our first
question was “When and how did you start the business?”, the owner told us that their
business started last 2015. It first started as a small carinderia along the national highway
in San Agustin, Pili, Camarines Sur. Then they were able to provide a bigger place in the
same place as the years went by. When asked if what made them choose this kind of
business, the owner said that he chose to have an eatery because it is related to the course
he took up. ____ took up HRM in STI Naga and he graduated in the year 2015. Basically,
he started the business the same year he graduated.

We also asked if what were some of the initial problems met by their business. He
answered that it was the lack of manpower or staff during the first few weeks after their
opening. They struggle in providing good customer service since they lack people. They
also struggle in attracting customers since they are a new eatery, they will have to earn
customers and find ways on how to do it. For a follow-up questions, we asked him if how
were they able to overcome these problems. He said that he tried so hard to find people
who will be willing to work for them. They also made good connection with customers by
being friendly. With this, they were able to guarantee that these customers will come back
and stay as a loyal customers.

We asked __ if what are the traits that he thinks entrepreneurs should possess. He
said that one must have the interest in the business they are developing. He should be
dedicated and committed to the business and should be good with time management as
well.

Lastly, we asked for any advice he can give for any person who would like to start
their own business. He said” Mag-ipon muna para may budget” for the desired business.
Learn to love what you are doing In order to do things smoothly. He said that he must
have good time management skills. Of course it is important that he is knowledgeable of
what kind of business he will enter. After the interview, we took photos with the owner
and also photos of the eatery they own. Then we left after giving thanks to the business
owner for their cooperation.
