ABOUT THE SPEAKER

ARCHIMEDES C. ARTICULO, graduated


both his AB Philosophy, cum laude, (1999) and his
MA in Philosophy (2004), Gawad Chancellor
Awardee, at the University of the Philippines,
Diliman.
In 2010, he simultaneously completed his Master in Business Administration
(M.B.A.) and Bachelor of Laws and Letters (Ll. B.) at the University Of Cagayan
Valley. In the same year, after successfully defending his doctoral dissertation and
completing all the academic requirements of Cagayan State University, in consortium
with San Beda College, Graduate School of Law, for the course, Articulo was conferred
the doctoral degree, Doctor in Public and Legal Administration (D.P.L.A.), with the
Dissertation “The Gift of Kabunyan: Indigenizing Philippine Public Administration.”
ARTICULO is a teacher of Professional Ethics, Parliamentary Procedure,
Philosophy, and Politics. He was the former Program Chair of the Political Science
Program, the Department Chair of the Arts and Humanities, and Chair of the Social
Sciences Department of the College of Arts and Sciences. He was later designated
Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Cagayan State University, a position he held
for five years, and served as the Campus Executive Officer, Cagayan State University,
Carig Campus for two years.
He has been a resource speaker in several Critical Thinking, Moral Philosophy,
Work Ethic and Professional Ethics seminars and Instructional Materials Development
workshops, both in local and national level. ARTICULO also contributed to the
development of Tuguegarao City as a Character City, by actively engaging in the
preparation and publication of its Character First Manual.
ARTICULO is a prolific writer, as author of various International Studies in
Philosophy of Science and Technology and Bioethics, and author of four (4) College
Textbooks widely used by major Universities in the country today. Aside from his
Textbook, “The Experience of Philosophy”, with REX Bookstore, Inc., (2010),
ARTICULO is also the author of, “Values and Work Ethics” (2003, Trinitas Publishing,
Inc.); “Moral Philosophy: A Practical Introduction” (2004, Great Books Publishing); and
“Logic: The Practice of Critical Thinking.” (2005, Great Books Publishing).
Aside from being a member of the academe, ARTICULO is also an active
member of Non-Governmental Organizations seeking to empower local communities.
He is the Vice-President for Administration of 1CAGAYAN REFORM AND
DEVELOPMENT, INC., a non-profit, non-stock organization operating in the Province of
Cagayan. He is also the current Vice-Regional Chairman of the Mayor Rodrigo Roa
Duterte – National Executive Coordinating Council (MRRD NECC) for Cagayan Valley,
Region 02.
ARTICULO is also a participant in the Business sector of Cagayan Valley. He is
the Industrial Partner of NADIA ALZADEK EVENTS ORGANIZING, a Dubai-based
events company in the UAE, and one of the Creative Consultants behind its “Universal
Child, The World” and “The Songs of Marawi: Charity Concert Caravan” projects,
among many others. In 2017, ARTICULO organized the INSIGHTS CONSULTANCY
AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SERVICES to allow academics and experts assist
promising Companies, with genuine social responsibility missions, realize their optimal
potential for success.
ARTICULO is an adviser of the Philippine National Police Regional Advisory
Council and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 02 Advisory Council since 2015. His
strategic planning sessions and workshops with the Police Regional Office contributed
to the development of best practices and breakthroughs for the Valley Cops, like the
POLARIS Program, which resulted to its conferment of the Silver and Gold Eagle
Awards for 2015 and 2016.
Currently, ARTICULO is one of the Technical Consultants to the Office of the
President of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), whose current
President ATTY. ENGELBERT “JOJO” CARONAN, JR. was widely regarded as his co-
author for the Valley Cop’s Partnership Among Local Resource Institutes or famously
referred to as the POLARIS Program.
