Abstract
Big Easy Security (BES) Cameras is one of the first companies to build quality DIY
cameras that allow users to take their security into their own hands. These weatherproof HD
cameras are highly durable and offer a cost-effective way to maintain video surveillance of your
home or business. Unlike conventional CCTV security systems, BES doesn’t require a monitor
or display screen to show video. BES Cameras allow you to access your video using your cell
phone, tablet, or pc remotely from any location. Despite being more cost-effective and efficient
in maintaining surveillance, many companies still believe in paying for a security service to

Introduction
Purpose
As a top company in fast food, McDonald's takes its customers’ health and safety
seriously. BES Cameras would greatly benefit McDonald’s by allowing its managers to keep
accurate and up to date surveillance of the restaurant, thereby providing every customer with a
sense of safety while giving a sense of freedom to their workers and management regarding
security. The goal of TDJ Consultants is to provide the most advanced and convenient equipment
for the business while beating out competitor's pricing and accessibility.
Problem
(photographic) techniques whereby images are captured via the variation of a physical photo-
chemical emulsion according to the brightness, color, and contrast of the scene. This can lead to
"choppy" and distorted images. With the advancements in technology, it is no longer necessary
to settle for subpar quality. You can now have high-quality cameras at an affordable price.
Description
The Big Easy Security system is an innovative security system that utilizes modern
technology to provide exceptional and reliable video footage with data storing capabilities. The
product has 720 pixels for picture clarity that enable it to deliver high definition video viewing
for a fraction of the price of traditional security company fees. The system's features are night
vision, motion sensors, infrared sensors, Wi-Fi enabled application and door/window sensors.
6
The additional features are a siren, arming options, enter/exit notifications, and two-way audio.
The Big Easy Security products come with 26ft range motion detection and 110-degree angle on
its mounted systems (Big Easy Security. 2018). The window/door sensors have a “250ft wireless
signal, low battery light, easy peel and stick tape, and 23A/12V battery” (Big Easy Security,
2018). It’s recommended by Big Easy Security to get the $199 package which will include two
cameras, ten door and window sensors, two motion detectors, and two remotes. The introductory
package contains all the necessary items needed to secure a home or business from possible

Benefits
Monitor from Anywhere
One of the most significant benefits with BES cameras is the ability to monitor your
footage from anywhere, anytime. Whether your manager is on their lunch break or in meetings,
they can keep an eye on what is going on in the restaurant. You can also have multiple people
viewing the footage at any given time. More access means various levels of management can
check in and make sure everything is running smoothly. Not only does this encourage
employees to stay on task and improve efficiency, but it can also prevent employee theft and
abuse. Additionally, this feature can help provide evidence to support any criminal proceedings
No Monthly Fees
While the equipment comes with a price tag of $199 up front, that is where the cost ends.
Unlike its competitors, BES does not charge a monthly monitoring fee, saving you hundreds of
dollars over the course of a single year. This business model frees up money to invest elsewhere
in your business or add to your bottom line. You pay less and gain more.
When it comes to quality, BES is among the best in its class. The indoor and outdoor
cameras provide a crystal clear, high definition picture that can be viewed anywhere. With 720p
resolution, weatherproof design, night vision, and motion detection, these cameras are sure to
help you keep an eye on your business. According to Officer Bermejo with the Fort Worth

Cost
The Big Easy Security system is designed to be cost effective while also having an easy
installation process. Its main attraction compared to companies such as ADT (2018), Vivint
(2018), and Protect America (2018) is its one-time fee of $199. The competitors charge an
equipment charge, and a monthly fee to hold service with them (“A Secure Life,” 2018). This
exuberant monthly fee can affect a business’s bottom line drastically, especially when a person
has more than one business or franchise. For a business such as McDonald’s which is mainly
owned by owner-operators, ownership of twenty or more stores can cost the company thousands
in monthly fees. These unnecessary fees can sometimes burden a company’s growth if left
unchecked.
Having adequate HD resolution cameras can also serve a restaurant's needs by providing
clear and precise footage of everyday events in and outside of the restaurant. The daily activities
can include theft or receiving mistakes, as well as waste control. Interactive smart camera control
enables the owner-operator to have a full view of the restaurant even when they are not
physically present. The real-time footage of the drive-thru can also serve the owner-operator by
reducing drive-thru service times. Reducing service times, according to McDonald's, can lead to
more yearly revenue to the corporation. The HD footage of the BES cameras can serve as a great
tool to deter fraudulent credit card activity, as well as help in solving crimes. Customers and
business owners alike are negatively impacted by white collar crimes that involve their personal
information. Having a good surveillance system can sometimes make a criminal rethink their
next actions. Courts are using visual testimony as evidence regarding any crime or mischief.
“Generally, a 'live' visual recording will be relevant in deciding whether a particular offense was

committed and by whom” (Murphy, 1999, p. 395). The answer is overwhelming that CCTV is a
great tool to use in a small or large business and its initial costs outweigh its potential benefits.

Concern
There is some cost associated with purchasing the equipment. Around $200 is the rate for
the standard package. The real value lies in the convenience of set up and installation. For the
one-time purchase of only $200, you receive security for life with no recurring charges or fees.
Unlike leading competitors in home/business security, there is no installation fee with this. All
installation is DIY and comes with instructional booklets as well as a library of helpful how-to
While traditional security companies would have you pay their employees to monitor
your footage, BES cameras allow you to choose whom you want to control your services. This
freedom results in a much more secure recording environment and reduces the chance of having
your video leaked or tampered. BES cameras can record and save up to 80 GB (three days) of
video wirelessly to the cloud. The camera designs also allow for backup storage to separate
devices to help with space consumption as well as a Micro SD slot to significantly extend video
record time. (SD cards sold separately). With all these options, you will never have to worry

Conclusion
Having the ability to monitor your business is an invaluable tool in today's economy. Not
only does it allow you to root out causes of potential problems in your business, but it works to
ensure the customer that you care about their safety. Customers are what drive and expand our
businesses. (CCTV works based on its effectiveness in detecting and ultimately preventing
crime.) With many crimes being solved thanks to surveillance footage, it makes sense to have
these devices in any business. It makes even more sense to have BES Cameras, as they allow you
to monitor your business with top of the line equipment without the top of the line price, which
can range anywhere from $50-$100. Save more, stress less, and get your cameras from BES.
