At the beginning of the lesson the students were welcomed by the teacher then warmed up for the soccer game
by leading a group stretch and running or walking for 30 seconds around the track. The soccer game the kids
played is co Ed so the teacher split the students in half. Five of the students did not want to play soccer but were
encouraged to “keep it moving” by jump roping, walking the track or choosing any locomotive movement to do
around the track.

6. Your favorite part of the lesson, least favorite; based on your experience (limited or otherwise) what
worked well, what didn’t; etc.?
My favorite part of the lesson was when the kids were playing soccer and they were figuring out who was
playing fairly.
7. What did you learn from observing this lesson?
I learned that it is important to make PE fun by incorporating different options for students to do. The teacher
knew not every student would enjoy soccer but knew that many of the students enjoyed skipping rope
under the shade.
