VOCATIONAL-TECHNICAL SKILLS TRAINING PROPER

Description: This is the course training proper which provides job-specific technical trainings for work
with the trade. These trainings focus on providing participants with instructions as well as hands-on
experience in jobs like Housekeeping, Hotel and Restaurant services, Cookery, Baking, Cosmetology, etc.
In choosing which Voc. Tech course to take, the participant is given freedom to choose based on his/her
interest. Finishing the course leads to certification after passing the required test given by TESDA.

SKILLS FOR LIFE

Description: Skills for Life is a comprehensive positive youth development and prevention program for
young people age 15-24 years old. It teaches life and citizenship skills within a safe, caring, and
consistent environment.

ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Description: The Entrepreneurship course is a training course for participants who are interested in
starting a business and learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. It aims to build skills and
knowledge necessary to succeed as entrepreneurs. The course runs for a total of 24 hours (3 days). It
utilizes an online platform for distance education using modules developed by Coca Cola and TESDA
(STAR Entrepreneurship Training Course).

FINANCIAL EDUCATION
Description: Financial Education involves in knowing and understanding the often complex principles of

informed responsible financial decisions.

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING/ PRACTICUM

Description: On-the-job training (OJT) aims to develop the skills learned by the participant through
applying them in an actual work setting. This direct instruction method allows the learner to practice the
acquired skills under supervision by a more experienced mentor. During OJT’s, the learners are deployed
in partner institutions, industries and/or offices who have expertise on their learned skills. Below is a list
of ideal industries/offices that match the skills learned in a specific Voc. Tech training course:
