Praxis Core Exam Analysis

Exam Requirements

The Praxis Core Exam is one of the first exams you must take in order to move

forward into your education degree at a four-year institution such as UNLV, NSC, or

UNR. Then give the passing scores for the Praxis Core in Nevada for Math, Reading, and

Writing.

Exam Preparation

I prepared for the Praxis Core Exam by checking out the Praxis Core for

Dummies textbook from the CSN library. Whenever I had the chance to read through the

textbook I would take advantage of the time after homework, in between waiting for

classes, and my free time in the weekend.

Exam Results

Give your results for Reading, Writing, and Math, and explain what they mean.

For example: “In Math, I scored in the 92% range, which means that I’m very likely to

pass the Math section when I take the official Praxis Core Exam.”

Future Exam Preparation

I will prepare myself for the Praxis Core Exam by continuing reading the Praxis

Core for Dummies as it is a valuable resource to pass the official exam. Whatever math

questions I have, I can always go speak with my math professor who I took MATH 123

and currently 123 during office hours. For the essay, I can take and write a practice essay

then utilize my CSN’s student resource by going to the writing center.
