STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

It is said that keeping your eyes and ears open at all times keeps you aware
about your surroundings and helps you gain knowledge. The much needed
Knowledge which might come in use at any point, in ones life.

In the same way opening ones mind to new ideas, challenges and change is
the ingredient of self development. Thus getting exposed to a new and
different environment is my main reason to pursue my further education
overseas. I believe that The United Kingdom can provide me with the high
quality education and global exposure that I seek for. It also well known for
its diverse culture and global student body which is a further advantage.

The course that I have chosen to undertake is M.B.A (Masters in Business

Administration). My family background in the commerce stream has acted
as a major inspiration and influence in my life. Plus my interest in core
subjects such as Finance, Business Management and Accountancy have
also stimulated me further to go with this course.

I did my schooling from G.D. Goenka Public School New Delhi. After
securing 72% in my 10th, I had chosen Commerce with Mathematics as my
stream in 11th and 12th. In 12th I achieved the topper in Business Studies
award and scored 80% aggregate.

I completed my B.B.A (Bachelor of Business Administration) from Guru

Gobind Singh Indraprastha University with an overall of first division in
2009. After completing the graduation, I pursued Post Graduation Diploma
in Management (PGDM) from Ansal Institute of Technology, Gurgaon,
Haryana, with CGPA score of 3.491 on a scale of 4. I also scored 530 in
GMAT, which I gave in staring of this year, and 7.5 in IELTS.

I have a major interest in the field of Finance and during my graduation I

also did a summer training project on Comparative Study on Mutual funds
with other Financial Instruments with the Reliance Money, India. During
the project I got a good experience of issues related to the field of Finance.

All this would not have been possible without the backing of an excellent
teaching institution and its learned faculty. With the view point to have the
same support and guidance in the future I have chosen to apply in your
esteemed and prestigious institution.
I believe that MBA program will help me achieve these objectives. It would
enable me to channel my conceptual skills in analyzing business issues and
would open up new avenues. Subsequent to earning an MBA degree I
would like to apply as an HR manager and investigate issues concerned
with human resource and its effects on organization strategy, structure and
systems. I believe that my background in business and management has
prepared me for such a career.

Further on, I have participated in extracurricular activities such as

Debating and Quizzing at the Inter school and State level, securing many
awards in my name and was awarded the Best Student Award in 12th.

I was also in the cricket team of my school and have played matches at the
state level.

Thus I believe to possess the zeal, enthusiasm, confidence and will power to
excel in the selected course and to carry forward the institutions name.
