Summary & Objective


Influenced by my professional experiences abroad and domestically, as well as observing the current educational policies, I am
primarily concerned with the improvement of standardized testing. This includes the impact of tests, test validation, and
increasing assessment literacy for parents, students, and other stakeholders. I hope to contribute to research that improves
both the efficacy and fairness of a variety of large-scale tests. The improvement of teaching and learning strategies are also of
great interest to me. I am currently working as a research assistant in educational research on projects which strive to improve
English language learning, teaching, and testing.

Experience
Senior Research Assistant (Princeton, NJ)

Educational Testing Service (September 2017 – )

• Conducts interviews and surveys on validation studies regarding standardized tests.


• Assists in developing new online English language learning tools.
• Edits manuscripts and research proposals for research scientists.
• Raises awareness of TOEFL research by contributing to the development of research websites.
• Performs literature reviews on relevant research to support further studies.

ESL Lecturer & Assessment Coordinator (Binghamton, NY)

• Created a new integrated skills placement exam for international students.


• Instructed courses on Speaking/Listening, Reading/Writing, and Pronunciation.
