- Good recap on the rules.

- Good use of helpers
- Clear instructions
I think you have clear and well-done lesson plan. You
included all the component and the resources that you
will you use during a lesson.
I liked when you recap on the rules of class and you
assigned some helpers to distribute the papers. I liked
when you used the KWL chart to engage the students
and know their prior knowledge. They were
motivated by hearing others questions.
Good using of time, you kept remind them of the time
they have left
Great questioning (interested and high blooms)
- It would help more of you explained and
showed the second diagram to the students
(question, what I think will happen, what I
used) before giving it to the students (small
narrow for the direction will be grate).
- Try to clear out everything form the table
before discussing the questions (worksheet). It
would be wonderful if you write their
responses on the board or have a large poster
for each group, so you can see if they connect
the answers with the questions.
- It would be useful if you used the Earth
Models to explain the (axis) more cognitive
and concrete.

asking them to justify their answers (not just

Today I did the first peer observation for my friend Maryam. She taught grade five the cause of the earth
rotation. After the observation I had to discuss the lesson with her, to outline the area of strength and
weakness. At the beginning I was very nerves and I was thinking of how she would feel about my comment.
However, I started by the things that I am more comfortable to talk about which are her strength. She felt very
happy about those comment and thanked me for appraising her work. Then, we moved to the things that I
think she had to work on, before that she told me that it is ok, that make me less stressful. Eventually, she
agreed with my evaluation, and the thing that she is going to work on next time is to extend the conversation
with the students by asking for justification. Finally, I liked when she told me that it was nice to have me for
observation and that I gave her useful advise for her teaching improvement.
