To begin to structure the AD has to create the organisational units, giving right click on the root
and selecting new, take the option “organisational unit”, such as it can observe in the following

RESULT(S) OBTAINED(S):

- Knowledge of how works the Active Directory.

- Learning of the operation of a command inside the Active Directory
- Familiarización With the operating system Windows Server

CONCLUSIONS:
 Active directory is an important service since this can use the shared services of a network in a fast
and efficient way, we can have more control over our network and that are divided into domains it is
easier the administration of resources
 In the development of the practice when connecting to the server from the client, a failure occurred
where the connection was not established, this error was solved by lowering the client and server
firewall and checking if the user is correct
 Once the DNS service is connected from the client, the computer restarts to save the changes, an
error occurred and solved was that when logging on again, it must start with the domain created on
the server for example (fcobo @ UPS.local)
 Finished the configuration of the windows server on the client in this case windows 7 must point to the
DNS address to establish the connection and achieve the use of the created domain.
 Assigning RAM quotas to users is of the utmost importance because here you can define the space
that each user can use and in case of exceeding the same throw a warning.
 Using a client server topology is very important due to the scope and diversity of allowances that can
be offered to different clients, this with the need that they have, is very useful because with this you
can make file transfers, use network devices, without the need to limit the user to a single physical
team, all this is done with the help of the Active Directory.
 Sharing folders or providing various permissions to users allows greater security in the server in
reference to the use of clients, since we can define each client to certain directories, or even the
installation of certain programs in addition to the opening of web pages which are not appropriate in
the client's field.
 The allocation of disk space quotas for each user is given from the server and this space can be
modified once established, but this space cannot be viewed from the client, since the allocated space
does not limit the disk in a virtual way but that grants a storage limit on the server
 at the time of installation, attention will be given to the options that need in this case, the machine, the
server is in a network which will be assigned the necessary resources
 When sharing a folder we must make an appropriate configuration, be very careful with the sharing of
folders since we should not give access to the computer because the user is mostly curious and can
damage the configurations of these
 through applied practice the management of the active directory was achieved in a suitable way as a
server, which provided a better understanding of it

RECOMMENDATIONS:
 It is advisable to deactivate the client and server firewall to avoid connection conflict problems
 Determine the steps to follow with more images, because in some proposed steps there was confusion
and loss of time in the execution of the workshop.
 At the moment of creating users, verify the parameters of passwords for users requested by the server
in which they are instantiating because it may generate problems for their creation.
 Read carefully the services at the moment of installing the Active Directory, so as not to have any
difficulty with the installation of the same.
 It is advisable to place a password and domain name that is easy to remember to avoid problems in
