Infrastructure
The institute is situated at Pira Bazar, Gopalpur which is
adjunct to NH-5 between the twin city of Bhubaneswar
and Cuttack. Architecturally designed spacious institute
building with background of fascinating landscapes on a
large campus spreading over an area of 10 acres of land
and 1,35,000 sqft of built up space with separate Hostels
for Boys and Girls, adequately equipped with computer
laboratories, digital communicative lab, well stocked
library, well developed play ground and qualified faculties.

Class Room
KIIMS has its focus to provide world class education in
computers and management. The Theater styled
classrooms have been carefully designed to meet our
goal and are of world class standard. All the classrooms
are air-conditioned and equipped with teaching aids like,
LCD, Black & White Boards and comfortable seats are
arranged in auditorium style. All these class rooms create
a condusive environment for effective communication
between the students and the instructors.

Computer Lab
The Institute has a state of the art computer Lab covering
an area of approximately 2,500 sqft. It is equipped with
the high speed computers, under a galaxy of op. sys
line..., Windows, Linux and Solaris along with a large
range of latest softwares such as Visual Studio .Net, MS
Office 2007, Oracle 9i, SQL 2000 etc. Broadband Internet
facility of 2 mbps leased line has also been provided for
exposure of the students to information highway. The
computer labs have been divided into two main categories
such as Interactive Lab & Training Lab.

Interactive Lab
Interactive lab has a capacity for 120 students and has
been furnished with latest Gizmos to provide an interactive
way of learning complex computer subjects and software.

Training Lab
It provides computing facilities for assignments, projects
and research; it is well furnished with computers, Printers,
Scanners and other computer peripherals. It
accommodates 60 students.

Digital Communicative Lab

The 21st Century has witnessed in the use of new
technologies to enhance the effectiveness in
communication for the IT and Management students.
KIIMS has ushered in a new world, where it is ultra
modern digital communicative lab, helps and develops
the personality of the students to hone the
communicative competence of the modern world. The
digital communicative lab of KIIMS is equipped with
teaching and learning software to hear, observe and
evaluate with courseware materials both in audio and
video formats.
Library
KIIMS believes that a good library is
an integral part for providing complete
e d u c a t i o n . T h u s t h e l i b ra r y o f t h e
institute is considered as the knowledge
center and it is therefore self-contained.
It contains more than 8500 books and
covers an area of 6,500 sq. ft. The
b o o k s o f l i b r a r y c o ve r t h e e n t i r e
spectr um of the syllabus and allied
subjects. The air-conditioned digital
(DELNET) librar y with a capacity to
accommodate 120 students in its
spacious reading room and reference
section provides a conductive
environment of studies. It subscribes
to both national and international
journals along with magazines that help
the scholars to have updated
infor mation and knowledge to keep
them updated with global trend.
Canteen
Canteen facility is available for the
boarders, day-scholars as well as the
employees of KIIMS. The canteen is
managed by the institute coordinated
by the student welfare committee. The
committee fixes the canteen charges,
which is primarily on cost-to-cost basis.
Co-operative Store
A consumer co-operative store
functions within the institute premises.
It is used by the students and the staff
members.
Sports & Games
Sports and physical training constitute
an integral par t of the physical
development of the body and is
essential for the healthy development
of the mind. Regular and rigorous
physical exercise, training and active
par ticipation in various disciplines of
sports & games are provided under the
guidance of experts.
Hostel
Separate hostels for Boys and Girls are available.
Hostels are well equipped with basic and modern
useful amenities to cater to the needs of the
boarders. There is no substitute to home and its
care but we have taken enough care to create a
homely environment for the comfortable stay of the
students in the hostels. Nutritious foods are
essential for physical and mental growth of the
students. Hostel provides tasty and nutritious food
in time. To ensure the quality of food, it is mandatory
to check by the institution authorities. Security for
the hostels is given primary importance. The staff
and the warden of the hostels are well trained and
are equipped to cope up with the situations like
safety, security and the well being of the students.
Each Hostel has been provided with telephone, TV,
Magazines, News Papers and contains indoor
games articles like Carom and Chess etc. The
hostels are well maintained and run under tight
security. As we follow the principles of Gurukul,
the house faculty of the hostels wind off the doubts
of the students during their self study hours.

Yoga & Meditation
The stress and strain is over bearing now-a-days.
To reduce stress and strain yoga and meditation
are introduced as daily routine. It is acknowledged
all over the world that meditation helps to control
the body and the thought. To preserve our age
old culture and tradition, prayers in morning and
evening are offered to our beloved almighty Lord.

are not uprooted from Indian philosophy, ethics

The institute conducts IT & B-School meets

Course Structure
The syllabus is directional in scope and permits the
much desirable flexibility to keep pace with the ever-
growing body of knowledge, experiments and
explorations in management education with special
emphasis towards the human side of enterprise.

The regular MBA Program is of two years duration.

Each year shall be divided into three trimesters.
First trimester shall ordinarily begin in August and
end in October. Second trimester shall begin in
November and end in January. Third trimester shall
begin in February and end in April. In addition, there

Objectives
The MCA program prepares students
to take up positions as system analysts,
systems designers, programmers, and
managers in any field related to
information technology. The program,
therefore, aims at imparting
comprehensive knowledge with equal
emphasis on theory and practice. The
MCA students are encouraged to spend
a full semester either in the industry or
in the institute for giving them insight
into the workings of the IT world.
However, the course curriculum will
have enough flexibility to enable a
student to undertake advance studies

software exporters to Bhubaneswar so

students of the institute.
Faculty
This course receives most committed and
dedicated support from a group of experienced,
fresh and retired faculties having specilisation
in area of finance & banking. Faculties are also
drawn from allied departments of the universities,
other reputed national institutes.

Admission Procedure
The admission into the MBA & MCA Courses
are made through the Orissa Joint Entrance
Examination (O-JEE), conducted by BPUT. The
admissions are made strictly through JEE
counseling as per merit basis and the rank
obtained in the said entrance examination.
Students qualified in the national level entance
test like MAT/XAT/CAT/ATMA etc. are also
elegible for admission in to MBA as per the
norms.

Eligibility Criteria
The minimum qualification for MBA Programme
is a Bachelors Degree of Three year duration
in any discipline from a recognised University.
The minimum qualification for MCA Programme
is a Bachelors Degree of Three year duration
in any discipline from a recognised University
with Mathematics, Statistics as one of the
subjects at +2 level or at +3 level.

General Rules & Regulation
l Once a candidate is admitted into the course,
fees paid by him/her shall not be refunded.

l Any student wants to discontinue his/her study

for any reason thereof, has to pay the full
c o u r s e fe e a t t h e t i m e o f t a k i n g T C / C L C.

l Disciplinar y action will be taken against the

students violating the r ules of the institute.

l Students found guilty of misconduct with any

staff of institute either inside or outside the
campus shall be expelled from the institution.

l Students are required to carry their identity card

with them and produce the same on demand by
the authorities of the institute.

l As per University stipulation, minimum 75%

attendance in a semester/trimester is mandatory
t o a p p e a r a t t h e U n i ve r s i t y ex a m i n a t i o n .

l Students are required to fallow the library rules,

hostel rules, laboratory rules & any other rules
as prescribed by the authority in force and to
be enforced from time to time.

l Students are required to deposit course fees on

the basis of academic sessions as specified in
the fee structure. Fees must be paid as per the
institutional nor ms and in due time. Delay in
payment of fees shall attract fines and fur ther
actions.

l The institute will not be held responsible for

delay in conducting the University examinations,
evaluation of answer scripts and publication of
