latent capabilities. Advanced engineering theoretical knowledge
and skills are instilled in students by utilizing state of the art lab
equipment to learn the engineering profession and utilize it in
the development of the society.

CAREER PROSPECTS
The Civil Engineering graduates can look for jobs in various
projects i.e. roads, buildings, sewerage/water supply,
consultancy fi¬rms, quality testing laboratories or housing
societies. Civil Engineers have good prospects of fi¬nding a
job in Government departments, private and public-sector
industries, research and teaching institutions etc. Civil Engineer
will always be needed to maintain and repair existing facilities
and structures and to construct new ones in the ¬fields of
coastal, environmental, structural, transport, urban and water
resources engineering. Civil Engineers are employed in all
major construction projects carried out by the municipalities,
city governments, provincial or central government, private
construction companies, military engineering services and
project management. Civil Engineering graduates can also go
in for research and take up teaching or they can open their own
