BRIEF PRODUCT SITE SPECIFICATIONS FOR BTS 3900 AND BTS 3900A

The BTS3900 and BTS3900A consist of two basic modules. Flexible combination of
basic modules and cabinets help Huawei products stay unique. As shown in Figure
1-1, the BTS3900 and BTS3900A are characterized by compact structure, high
integration, low power consumption, and fast deployment.

Typical Application Scenarios

The BTS3900 can be installed indoors. The -48 V BTS3900 cabinets can be stacked
on top of another -48 V BTS3900 cabinet; Figure 1-3 shows the single BTS3900 and
two BTS3900s in stack mode. Renowned as the most compact indoor macro BTS in
telecom industry, the BTS3900 features large capacity, high scalability, and small
footprint. It can also support GSM+UMTS dual-mode application.

Indoor Macro BTS3900

The BTS3900, as shown in 0, is applicable to indoor scenarios such as centralized
installation and relocation. The BTS3900, as one of the most compact indoor macro
products in the industry, boasts large capacity and sound scalability. It has a small
footprint and supports the GSM and WCDMA dual-mode application.

For outdoor installation scenarios, the outdoor macro BTS (BTS3900A) is used. The
RFU is installed in the RFC, and the BBU3900 is installed in the APM30 or TMC..

Outdoor Macro BTS3900A

The BTS3900A is applicable to the outdoor scenarios such as centralized installation
and replacement of the outdoor macro. The BBU3900 is installed in the APM30H,
and the DRFUs/GRFUs for GSM and WRFUs for UMTS are installed in the outdoor
RF cabinet, as shown in the below:

Outdoor RF Cabinet
The outdoor RF cabinet, stacked with the APM30H cabinet, provides protection and
performs functions such as power distribution and surge protection for the WRFU
and the BBU3900. The outdoor RF cabinet works in natural ventilation mode to
dissipate heat. The RF cabinet can be configured with a maximum of six WRFUs. In
this case, there is no space for the batteries, as shown in the figure:

APM30H
The APM30H provides -48 V DC power and backup power to the outdoor macro BTS
and also provides installation space for the BBU3900 and other devices. The
APM30H, which can be installed in areas of poor air quality, dissipates heat based on
the heat exchange system and two air circulation fans. The APM30H is compact and
lightweight. Figure 1-9 shows the internal structure of the APM30H.
