Asalam-o-Alaikum, kia Ora Karam! Your last story was about how you have been developing the
understanding of the world around you. It was mentioned how staff will set up stimulating environ-
ment for you to foster your creativity and further develop your verbal and non-verbal communication
skills. It has been mentioned how we will continue supporting you to take more responsibilities for
your belongings and as well of the centre. During these last few weeks I followed your interest and
scaffold you to make right choices and to manipulate toys in appropriate ways. I also encouraged you
to be involved in planned activities like construction sight, baking banana muffins, bathing dolls, and
caring for preschool environment like tidy-up, watering plants, feeding worms and caring for bird
(Motti Gull). I also encouraged you to sit for mat times and listen to morning talk to gain the infor-
mation about the day of the week, weather ,reciting surah and coming events. I also encourage you to
sit at kai table for morning kai lunch time and after-noon kai.
What learning is happening?
Karam Observation shows that you have been developing the understanding of the world
around you. It is evident that you are learning the routines and getting yourself familiarize with
centre settings and rules. It is also clear that stimulating environment are fostering your
creativity and developing your social skills. You are also building confidence in your verbal and
non-verbal communication skills.
How can we extend this learning?
Insha’Allah Staff will continue keeping active reciprocal relationship with you to further sup-
port you to understand the centre’s settings, rules and routines. We will continue setting up a
stimulating environment such as bathing dolls to foster your creativity and further develop
your verbal and non-verbal communication skills. We will also continue supporting you to take
more responsibilities for your belongings and as well of the centre.

I like your idea

teacher Naema
that instead of
making gun I
should build a
police car and
can go on patrol
to see if all is
good in the city.

Everything at preschool is
good but when teacher ask
for tidy-up then it is really
boring!
