Data provided in this workbook are the data obtained from a literature review as described in the companion report: Lowe, K.S., N.K. Rothe,
J.M.B. Tomaras, K.E. DeJong, M.B. Tucholke, J.E. Drewes, J.E. McCray, and J. Munakata-Marr (2006). Influent Constituent Characteristics of the
Modern Waste Stream from Single Sources: Literature Review. Water Environment Research Foundation, Project Report.
Only the average values, as reported in the literature sources, are listed in this workbook. In some cases only a median value was provided and is
listed instead of an average value. A blank indicates the data was not provided. Every attempt was made to accurately transcribe data values,
but inadvertant errors may exist.
Summary statiscal values may vary between this data base and those listed in the report (Lowe et al. 2006) due to data handling. For example,
median and average nitrogen values were based on all reported values converted to mg-N/L. In addition, several references and data values are
included in this data base that were not included in the report because they did not fit into source classifications.
Data qualifiers were used to provide additional information related to the reported values. All data qualifiers are qualitative and subjective and do
not imply data ranking or quality. The data qualifiers selected for each literature source are provided on the "References" worksheet. The data
qualifier key should be used to interpret the data qualifier information and is provided on a separate spreadsheet ("Data Qualifier Key") within this
workbook.
