2 Test Procedures and acceptance criteria

2.1 Visual Examination
The test is to ascertain conformity of the fittings, in all essential respects, with contract drawings.

Acceptance criteria:
Visual inspection: Glossy, no crack and no burr.

2.2 Dimensional
The test is to ensure that fittings are within the dimensional tolerance stated on contract drawings.

Acceptance criteria:
The following tolerance shall be allowed on all dimensions to which special tolerance do not apply.
i) Dimensions up to and including 30mm ±1.5mm.
ii) Dimensions greater than 30mm ±5%

2.3 Waterproof Test

The test is made by completely immersing the enclosure in water in its service position as
specified by the manufacturer so that the following conditions are satisfied:
a) the lowest point of enclosures with a height less than 850 mm is located 1000 mm below
the surface of the water;
b) the duration of the test is 30 min;
c) the water temperature does not differ from that of the equipment by more than 5 K.

Acceptance criteria:
no water enters into box after test
