New AP Support

2) FIXED PROBLEMS
Resolved Issues between 8.2.5-8381 and 8.2.7-8408
• 33531 When Filter Traffic Limit (per station or for all stations) value is set below 250
Kbps, configuration push will result in failure, for APs with AOS 8.4.3 or above.
• XMSE-772 In Station Count widget and Monitor -> Stations, scoping by profile/group
doesn’t display stations that were connected in the past and roamed to an AP not in the
selected profile/group scope.
• XMSE-1123 Station Count widget shows the wrong number of online stations
• XMSE-2466 Data disk usage increases exponentially to the point of filling the disk.
Systems with large number of APs/Stations/Sessions are particularly susceptible.
3) KNOWN ISSUES
• 21504 Port Mappings by Switch does not show any port mappings.
• 30892 Upgrading AOS from version 7.6 to version 8.3.2 requires a refresh (either
automatic or manual) to start working over secure web-sockets
5) UPGRADE NOTES
• If you are upgrading from a release earlier than 8.1.1, please upgrade to XMS-
Enterprise 8.1.7 first, with the XMS Upgrade tool.
• After restarting XMS for the first time after upgrading, it may take 5-10 minutes or
longer for the Web UI to be available.
• If you are using AOS older than 7.6, please upgrade AOS before you upgrade XMS.
• Access Points which are not online during upgrade, need to be discovered manually
after the upgrade process.
• XMS Enterprise 8.x requires an SSH credentials to the Access Points to perform
2
Discovery. Please make sure you have SSH user(s) configured on the system.
• Upon upgrade from previous releases, column selection will revert to default.
• The software is available to customers with a premium support contract. You will
need a new license key to update from XMS release 8.0.6-7441 or earlier.
• Xircon Access default: XMS-E versions prior to 7.0 had Xircon access set to OFF by
default and versions 7.0 and beyond have it set to ON by default (to allow for
diagnosing issues on Arrays). If you had Xircon set to off and upgraded from a pre-7.0
to a 7.0 or later build your setting will be preserved. The recommendation is to set
Xircon ON.
3
• Ports 9444 and 8085 to be open between APs and XMS-Enterprise (in addition to the
ports in previous releases).
