Introduction: Holonomy and Fractal schematisme as an Imaginary Access Tool

1. Some new discoveries on Internet two years ago related to fractal schematisme triggered this
document about the Holon Autonomous (HA) nature, its triadic self-reference circular logic, the
auto-autopoiesis form. It was ignited as a siege on its theory, looking for a new ontology to express
KC holonomic singularity; some kind of a new diplomacy for the HA and Knowledge Cybernetics
complex (insofar HA/KC), an imaginary out of cybernetics, systems thinking or complexity sciences
narratives.

2. Spanish is not precisely a good language for politics and I had allways been in trouble to explain
the whole spectrum of concepts related to the HA/KC binome that includes sociality, polity, third
order cybernetics, weltaunnchaung, world view, lifeworld, phenomenology, and a long etc. and the
new references filled a cognitive gap I believe I had on schematisme theory. So I like to think that
this essay was written as a necessity: to clear my mind about what has been fifteen years of
explorations when I met Viable System Model and Beer’s work. New influences on holon
schematisme activated an holonomy theoretical corpus of which I had some theory and practice
from Holon*Labs that helped me in analogizing HA/KC complex; I mean the special feature of
producing the syntegration effect as the main aspect of bridgenesss schematisme aesthetics1.

3. The holon is both a concept and an schema and Koestler spent his lifelong to conceive it as the
response to hierarchical order and a linear way of thinking of a conditioned mind. He gave birth to
three concepts which are at the core of this essay: a) bisociation, the merging concept that is used
by Cognitive Semiotics theory related to abduction, b) the holon itself, a metaphor for “ghost in the
machine” and c) Janus, a visual metaphor for the holarchy concept. These concepts illuminate the
way to enter in holon schematisme theory about what is finally a philosophical perspective: freedom
and autonomy. Unfortunately, philosophy, which could have been the ideal discipline to grasp the
subtlety worked out by HA/KC –Phenomenology as a sophisticated projected system- is rejected by
the audience as a démodé discipline.

4. From fractals you have more chances to activate a resonance with intuition and grasp what is
thinking with a nested schema. You can further practice intuition and how does it work the merging
spaces of the geometrical fractal world. But then people ask for validations about the insights that
came from the images. As I learnt, fractal thinking faces a frontier related to the void and ever
present (EP) concepts, and symmetry and Non Euclidean Geometry (NEG) appear as their theoretical
grounds.

5. One of the main influences was “The Observer in the Observed: Fractal Dynamics of Re-entry”
(insofar TOOFDR) that comes from a psychoanalytical and which had a synthetic effect on organizing
my ideas about holonomy and fractal thinking as tools to overcome duality. I have to recall also
Anthony Judge’s web page on the topic of global governance through metaphors claiming for
actualizing conversational rituals, an attempt to incorporate geometry and metaphors in dialog
design; specially his seminal work “Development through Alternation” where he looks for an
holonomic discipline –also thinkable as tool- to surpass current epistemic problems in an imaginary
academic coliseum full of imaginary disciplines playing in the academic action arena, an allegory
that I have used to enter into new imaginary for KC and Holon Labs. Both texts has an special status

in the essay; I should also mention New Rhetoric and its convergence with visual literacy narrative,
where I found some interesting insights about fractal schematisme nature, a perspective that
encourages the use of visuality and geometry in the thinking creation processes.

6. At the moment (2015) I was involved in a to safety management project related to the
incorporation of psychosocial risks into current risk management systems. The bibliography showed
that the human/machine interfase raised up systemic risks and became a big issue in some
industries, some of them related to stress. In some cases, the standard in such complex industrial
contexts needed to be beyond traditional safety approach, even beyond Risk Governance, into the
Resilient Engineering answer arena.

The context was of the project was la desencriptación de the so called ISTAS 21 national standard
recent reglamentation on this topic and to desing of tranée approach to overcome the status quo
phenomena in industrial risk management that face these systemic events. It was based on a
research about nature of what has been called the blind spot that some industry manifest and that
that may include the workplace redesign2. I was attracted by the Human/Machine interface and
problematique and ISTAS is based on categories that are related to the incorporation of technology
in the workplace. The research was structured on the procedimentalization problematique within
industry and how to renovate the management systems (OHSAS, ISO, etc.) with an andragogical
TVET in order to afford systemic risks that are not part of the procedures (like psychosocial ones). I
had used KC and PNS within a transdisciplinary (TR) research paradigm (please see Annex I.1) where
I had tempted to model with GSB re-entry concept the emerging trainee context.

7. TOOFDR explained the Varela/GSB link that shed more light about HA triadic logic, so I tooked a
refresh to figure it out the nature of HA/KC schematisme, since Varela’s influenced Swcharz in the
autogenesis conception3, illuminating (for me) your use of the triadic holon. The document started
its long writing process with the purpose to describe you this GSB/Varela convergence –since I found
it was encrypted in your work- and make some recall on the visual complexity of your first book
where I had found resonance in the past; I mean the NEG allure of some chapters, where the lector
has to imagine some strange mental somersaults to understand the transmogrification process,
which will be qualified as a vertical phenomenology.

The focus of my geometrical exploration was the projective capacity of what I called at the period
the triadic logic form of a bridgeness capacity. KC schematisme includes in the scope of this work
the whole spectrum of schema used to explained its logic, which are explained in your books and
papers. I will include the modelling space explained in MS, the changing organizational required to
solve xyz (from management systems the version of the transmogrification (Cog/Fen) explained in
Management Systems, HA (insofar also E/N/F), the metamorphose cycle and the migration model,
as its forms. There many other triadic forms in your work but I have selected this that I quote within
the essay.

8. TOOFDR appeals for a fractal thinking as tools for new bridges of inner/outer dilemma with
technosphere (this topic will be explained within the theoretical chapter) which limits redefinition
–according to its psychoanalytical view- will required a new human subjectivation4. But also it was
Judge’s gladiator metaphor and the qualities of an imaginary holonomic discipline that showed
many resonant and suggestive concepts shared with KC and holon*labs quaternary. I was
obnubilated by commonalities -especially about the Enantiomorphy concept- which relates to

duality and inner contradictory forces, and which seemed to be a common with KC and PNS roots5,
so a lieu to analogize HA/KC and theorize about the whole spectrum of fractal dimensions6.
Furthermore, for the quaternary Judge has an special chapter about what I have called the “3-4 link”
and where he introduces this concept which will have an special role in this essay, actually its
antonym, the Enantiodromia.

But all this also resonated with the nested figure of Chinese cosmovision in the TAO of Cybernetics
with the variety of reality dimensions, an analogy for an alignment of my thoughts about the many
dimensions of fractality and a context for the triadic, quaternary and octogonal7 schema for grasping
holonomy as multisymmetry of nested dimensions.

9. The many convergences came to a new phase of writing of what I called a geometrical exploration
on self-reference, a 3 Order Observation (3°O) quete that helped me continue the epistemic and to
“discover” its noological nature and abductive capacity. PNS -> COGNITIVE SEMIOTICS -> GSB ->
NOOS :: void and EP

10. Following the Maya connection, as I called your explanation about the same motivation with KC
in reference to truth, I entered in an essay of holonomy through Janus visual metaphor exploration,
using Peter Collins8 work and where surged the inner/outer, part/whole and form/emptiness levels
of consciousness categories as the human attentional phenomena, that lead to the alterity subject
that will extend the discussion about verticality, actually an inner verticality. In this chapter I
hypothesize how holonomy is performed, entering into Janus visual metaphor looking for the self-
reference circular logic.

The many theoretical concepts already acknowledged in the theoretical part were re-appreciated
from Janus’ symmetry and the 3°O surged as a Non dual Mind: a human capacity to see a non
separated phenomenological world that implies Space/Time redefinition. From the theoretical and
geometrical parts of the essay we arrive to same tour de force of the void and the ever presence
(EP) concepts that are required to enter through this; I called it the geometrical non-dual or mystical
siege9.

11. I then wrote an essay about the Haiku Mind to incorporate an analysis of the metanoia concept
and its relationship with KC, centered in an analogy with the haiku format through its metaphysics
and phenomenological access to reality. Holonomy as a symbolic schematisme emerged as a new
tool for the imaginary gladiator -the katana/light metaphor- and also as fractal thinking as a sharply
valuable concept, which is the poetic siege.

12. Then I returned again to your first books. Management Systems seemed to be some kind of
anticapitalistic manual of guide on new heuristics for a viable inquiry systems and Organizations as
Complex Systems a philosophic tractatus about the emergence of a third order cybernetics as a re-

entry concept for social cybernetics, as you explained in the foreword of the book. After TOOFDR
and the other influences, it seems that postmodernism needed a social geometry and a very precise
philosophy: an access to the nous concept –the collective mind-, so the sociality/polity thematic
relevant convergence to analyze psychosocial phenomena, the collapsing chaos, etc., the access
Tool for a new way of thinking was already there to enter any academic collliseum.

13. To my Quixotesque mind KC holonomic aesthetic emerged -after the whole journey- as a nested
circularity that is performed by HA as an access Tool aimed at trigger a recall moment of a third term
invoked in a cognition/phenomenological [cog/fen] re-symbolisation and is analogized in the text
from common sense, the void, Time, alterity and finally theorize Holonomy from Noology as a Bridge
Metaphorical Hypothesis10 (BMH) as an abductive human capacity. The holon is both a schema and
a concept, which is worth to appreciate in the journey I have taken that helps to reveal HA/KC
bridgeness nature -, and so does the concept of poiesis, both form and poetry and which seems to
be a clue on the aesthetic about holonomy, a morphological issue that needed to be clarified.

14. The discovery of its noological nature helped me in theorizing about KC’s holonomy as self-
refence circular logic, a symbolic fractal thinking capable of producing the intellective moment of
which –as said- I had some insights from Holon*Labs with the quaternary schema. This helps to
make the following conjecture: if holonomy emerges as a new epistemology for a new science, KC
could be understood as its philosophy, the philosophy of change (poiesis) or philosophy of
engineering, which lacks of an own epistemology, hence a sense of validity; and where lays the idea
of considering to borrow them to HA/KC body of knowledge.

15. En esta línea, the link of schematisme and imagination found in the work of Bertrand Stiegler
lead me to a fundamental relationship not so obvious with Engineering: schematisme –to think with
schema- was a mental faculty till industrialism as an imaginary place where forms lay, but was lost
in human history with industrialism. This lost imaginary faculty linkeable with Engineering so is an
even more important perspective about the Imaginary of fractal schematisme. From this
perspective, schematisme emerges as somekind of “savoir faire” for a change, a techné; it is the
place where the heuristics/schematisme can be understood as a poietic capacity.

16. Engineering and Poetics are validly invoked in this visual complexity. If systems are metaphors,
a new rhetoric appears for Engineering -a very post normal one - since all of this is about the
auto/autopoiesis11 form as a morphological function that involves both form (symmetry) and poetry
(metaphors). The challenge seems to be how to overcome an oversymbolysed post-modern
humamism, described by TOOFDR as a two-mirror metaphor where post modernity is entrapped
and stablish the context to enter in a new phenomenology since it is urgent to conceive the access
to cross this obnubilating two mirror reality.

Holonomy will be related to an abductive 3°Obs to enter in a new phenomenology, taking the
seminal Koestler’s idea about the creative act and also the arguments of the whole randonnée that

realizes KC as a structural coupling function. Holonomy will be explained through its BMH as a non-
separated state through a double tropological operation, a metonymy and a synecdoche.

I have done a map in Annex I for the document and its main topics that has the capacity to enroute
the whole essay, called KC’s Holonomic post-symbolism as the Philosophie of Engineering.

1. Theoretical Randonné on KC schematisme: from reflection to consciousness

I will enter to the theoretical part looking for epistemic analogies to grasp HA/KC bridgeness or
projected phenomenology. KC uses HA as a social geometry, a noological tool designed to build
collective mind (psychosocial phenomena). The context of the metamorphose cycle, the expression
of the transmogrification realized with the schema, will be unveiled as an abductive way of thinking,
where holonomy as its bridge metaphoric hypothesis -the phenomenology resymbolization -will be
grasped. This is complementary of the following part where holonomy will be treated geometrically
through Janus as visual metaphor of the attentional phenomena, fitting with a phenomenology
creator artefact for studying the attention/alterity complex.

1.1 Setting the scene: Memoria de Cálculo of a poietic essay bout HA/KC

The randonnée is based on the main threads that I followed when I started this technical letter: Post
Normal Science -within the Transdisciplinary Research-, the Cognitive Semantics and its abduction
concept and the link of Varela/GSB, to arrive to the void concept and to the Imaginary domain,
where time variables will be contextualized; through them I will try to conceive fractals as symbols
for a new way of space/time mathematization.

The PNS thread considers that it pertains to transdisciplinary research (TR) field of practice, being
its radical position and current mainstream in paradoxical thinking on global issues like Cimate
Change.

I have been involved in two projects where PNS and KC projective capacity are used together that I
have systematized in Annex I. As said in the introduction, during 2013-2015 I was involved in project
about safety management system regeneration to incorporate the psychosocial risks using ISTAS 21
standard, which ultimately may implicate the work space re-desing. The bibliography showed that
in safety domain there has been an epistemological giro to overcome status quo performance, from
accidents or events to the focus on the whole system performance and where Ravetz put his
approach to safety science. From that place safety can be interpreted as the quintessence of any
system’s quality. The resilient or holistic approach the way of how trainee is materialized is a field
of concern of a transdiscipline, which I have tried to modelize12, aimed at enfrentar what Resilient
Engineering calls the blind spots of the status quo.

The other is a recent project about a Capacitation and Communicational Plan for Chilean Parliament
about carbon industry taxes as the main mitigation act of the country. So the context is on the
trainee of deputees and senators on the subject of IPC and Climate Change. I have included this
project since it is a reference about the connection between PNS and KC through a transdisciplinary
discipline that has been in construction all these years, called the EAOP Fourfold Perspective.

I wanted introduce the essay with this two schema which are part now of a synthesis about this
KC/PNS/TR. The FVSD’ PNS paradigm will be interpreted with the following frame EAOP, which
expresses a phenomenology (at the center) and provide a transdisciplinary perspective –a projected
phenomenology- to this exploration, a radial perspective that is at the core of it. For the whole
discussion, please see Annex I.2.

With cognitive semiotics the exploration analogies involved the cinematic model that explains
phenomenology as an attentional phenomena and where is exposed a merging space whose
seminal idea comes from “bisociation” a term invented by Koestler in 1954. From this source
appears the abduction concept, which will have a special role in the assimilation of HA/KC nature.
The GIZ project was conceived as an abductive logic as I explain in Annex I.2.

The last part is about GSB re-entry concept and the influences on Varela’s research on self-reference
equation and where space/time emerges as the collapser variables. As said this was the idea that
triggered the essay; since I had some background in the use of the Laws of the Form (LoF) through
the work of Daecker.

As a main feature of this randonnée, since HA is a social geometry, it will be explored as a noological
Tool in the next section, with the first explorations of holonomy as the Bridge Metaphor Hypothesis.
They are in a reporting format about some epistemic evidence that I will use to explore HA/KC. In
each of them I will used the 2.2 figure since is the purpose to explain the projective capacity and KC
birdgeness both with the triadic and fourfold schema.

About the references

TOOFDR referentiates the topic of reflection within science with the history of a dismissed
psychoanalytic group within General System Theory engaged in the renewal of science inquiry
system, including reflection within observations -the observer in the observed- and actualizing it on
George Spencer Brown (GSB) influence on Varela’s work on self-reference equations and the
Imaginary numbers as Time dimensions.

After explaining current paradoxical situation in regard to technology already incorporated within
human body, TOOFDR expresses the urgent need for a renewal of limits between Human and the
Technosphere, which would depend on a new subjectivation required to overcome current
subject/object binary way of thinking and where fractals might be used as Tools to build new kind
of relationships. Fractality is put in context as a new metaphor13 for mind/matter complex14 and as
a challenge for a viable post-humanist epistemology.

About Anthony Judge’s web page, his focus has been to unveil the policy making arena as an
ineffective intellectual endeavor in the whole spectrum of problematic human and social contexts;
following the conversational topic, he tried to elicit the role of poetry and geometry in the
managerial forms. In the text “The Marriage of the Beauty and Beast” he looks for the metaphoric
xyz to explore poetry and management fusion.

Another seminal work is "Development through Alternation", looking for the “answer arena” of a
synthetic discipline for overcoming current epistemic chaos among the imaginary gladiators
(disciplines) of an imaginary Academic Colliseum, enable to communicate by their own belief
systems and accumulated knowledge15; an allegorical context of an holonomic tool that helped me
in HA/KC and Holon*Labs new imaginaries.

1.2 Epistemic Randonnée

1. PNS and common sense. The PNS connection lead to a whole spectrum of a new inquiry systems
within science, since PNS pertains to Transdisciplinary Research (TR) that searches for knowledge
unity of changing processes in complex situations. These are contexts where normal science do not
participate, and where there is the requirement of the implicates inclusion in the scientific inquiry,
the ones who are in the “real world”; science validation is no longer a peer review but the cognitive
closure lays on subjectivities and intersubjectivity space shared by the actors and that the
methodology should provide.

PNS is considered a radical position within TR: it is found on the search of the fundamental duality
where paradoxical problems lay, where “Facts are uncertain, Values in dispute, Stakes high and
Decisions urgent (FVSD)”16. The work of Ravetz on sociotechnical problematic contexts lead to an
attempt in building the “safety science” to afford this; PNS referred safety as a common, linking it
finally to the performance and quality of a system, actually its quintessence quality.

GIZ :: METRICA

Some complex sociotechnical situations require the elicitation of a contextual knowledge to handle
the contexts of epistemic dependence, linking expert and lay people into observations. This can be
considered as a main topic in science in order to be validated within current social contexts,
especially within risk management and where appears a recall of the phronesisgreek concept and
the savoir faire in complex contexts.

Main analogies:

 The kind of knowledge –both PNS and TR-is related to theoretical/practical knowledge on
contexts where human capacity is tested and brought important philosophical insights of
KC: HA/KC has a very sharp edge as philosophical dispositive: a projected phenomenology.
 Another important feature of HA/KC nature: the cognitive closure is rooted in the Method
as a unified methodology, which is the steering concept of TR research agenda.
 The link with PNS radicalization on fundamental duality underlying problems is also
important -which will be revisited- as a similitude with KC.
 The conception of Time as one of the driver of PNS context, which will be analyzed further:
Time seems to have a determinant role for context’s emergence as collapsing variables.

2. Cognitive Semiotics and consciousness as a cinematic model. I followed the thread of KC with
Cognitive Semiotics, established adopting some of the notions of Oakley. KC might operate as a high
level framework that reflects “a theory of meaning”, through its meta-doctrinal theory and capacity
to address specific problem based issues, and involves “a theory of attention” that involves a
“cognitive semiotic” that demands both self and context awareness, and reflection on theory
development processes.

I followed this thread which is based on the search for the enablers of attention and I arrived to the
conceptual blending concept in creative thinking and a conscientiousness model as a flux known as
the Cinematic model. The research context is on meaning creation through it, so conceiving the
phenomenological fusion as the blending space of a intercrossed matrix of reference and where the
blending take place, a concept that was invented by Koestler for the Act of Creation (1954) that he
called bisociation17; according to Koestler L is conceived as the resonance of the intercross of two
planes M1 and M2 as in the next figure.

The theoretical exploration done in “A Grammar of Attention”18 by Oakley realizes that the
attentional phenomena is abductive, in the sense of capturing some elements among many in order
to express a fact and which is used in ordinary life. This is the basic feature that it is directly related
to phenomenology and their cinematic model19 intent to capture this feature; Mind functioning as
a cinematic movement of consciousness recreation linking the attentional phenomena to two inputs
that are generalized through a blending space.

This allows a new perspective of HA/KC as some kind of conscience flux operation through its
projective capacity which is also linkable, as said, with meaning and attention. I also think that the
Existential in the triadic form E/N/F plays a special function which is related to the bisociative L
component of Koestler understanding of a creative act.

3. GSB influence on Varela: reflection and the search of self-reference equations. With his Laws
of the Form (LoF) George Spencer Brown (GSB) leaded the discussion of self-reference logic far
beyond cybernetics tradition. His calculus is based on the fact that observation’s form has inner and
outer aspects both involved in the act of indications or distinctions using a mark in the space
CONSTATANDO that in meaning creation you need the outer side for distinguishing the inner. This
quite obvious asymmetrical remark lead him to explain that the distinction is not the first distinction
because there is the imperative of realizing from what it is distinguished (the unmarked),
introducing the form of making distinctions (xyz see fig).

He gave birth to the mathematical functions of “cross” and “call” that operate in this universe and
then used it to construct a calculus for indications, with two operators: Number and Order (see next
figure).

In an imaginary blank space, his new mathematic shows that this semantic asymmetry, when
equated -in his terms, crossed- it arises in a contradiction or paradox. GSB explain it as an oscillatory
state of systems when a self-reference is materialized, named a re-entry, and linked it to imaginary
numbers and, after, to Time dimension: the moment of A=-A.

Amazingly as it is, GSB LoF allows to leave 3D space opening the door to Non Euclidean Geometry
(NEG), subverting space/time variables hence systems thinking. According to TOOFDR, Varela’s was
inspired by this definition expressing: “he puts in a very simple way xyz el tiempo”. In this new
atmosphere of time/distinctions convergence, the act of naming –the act of distinguishing and
making différances- is a radicalization of what is to give birth “something form no-thing”, GSB’s most
often quote about his calculus.

The main issue about these observations is that there has to be a consciousness to realize it, putting
GSB calculus of observations in the avant-garde of second order cybernetics. From Luhmann
tradition the calculus has been improved by Dirck Baecker with some important advances in its use.
Fig xyzC) shows a refination of a first second order cybernetics as many observations of 2°
Observation are required by inquirers to refine “company” observation, as an example of form
analysis where each re-entry can be assimilated as ortogonalities that produces (re)observations.

4. After xyz It can be said that GSB work has been actualized on an special context: the apparent
failure of the systems thinking rationale and the need to a "hardware" the Laws of the Form may
provide. This critique about the phenomenological vacuity of the system concept is also well
appreciated by Jiliberto. (logic ontology).

After discovering the web with the Lacanian triad (the Symbolic, Imaginary and Real), GSB re-entry
concept and Zizek way of philosophy on the logic of the subject20, I started to ideate that
symbolization is homologous to the transmogrification process that was explained in MS on the
subject of the three domains, to express the transformation of the cognitive domain content into
phenomenological content (see figure xyz d); so I linked the three forms that can be said are
epistemically homologues, that I will sintetized as ((.)).

The double recursive operation of HA is analogous to the GSB calculus case of re-entry. It is a specific
“form” in order to conceive a “world”, an epistemic world of an Identity/Environment imbalance

and where the triad performs its capacity of meaning (order) creation through the recall of a third
state of the system, the moment of A=-A21 which is needed to be invoked in order to overcome
chaos; according to Varela, a reference of any viable system.

5. TOOFDR’s Argumentation

The triadic ((.)) logic allows a quite interesting phenomenological perspective to afford an auto
identity process. The argument is explained in TOOFDR with two important aspects in this context:

 from Philosophy, we should be in a post-postmodernism stage, leaving an analytical multi-


reflection from egoic forms of knowing
 from Mathematics, we need to enter into fractals period of "numbers" as new psychic
bridges.

If fractals are in fact the bridges of inner/outer realms of our times, according to TOOFDR, they must
be used as tools to overcome this obnubilating post-modern condition. KC is related to a new phase
of cybernetics and it has to deal with this condition, a surplus of meaning creation, expressed as the
two mirrors metaphor and the idea of conceiving fractals as Tools in order to continue the endeavor
of Human/Technosphere limits explorations. KC context is about the transformation of an entity
that projects phenomologically a holon as metaphor for a new order playing an abductive way of
thinking and which is a vertical phenomenology, main topic in this geometrical exploration, the
domain of fractality.

From symbolism to post symbolism: ((.)). I found also that this circular logic belongs to a new
epistemic era of using a visual metaphor (instead of enduring it in an unacknowledged way) as a
way of knowing attuned to New Rhetoric narrative on visual literacy and as a “new world model” to
overcome binarism and the roaming of western way of thinking in its post modern condition.

From DtA it is understood that the triadic form ((.)) is likely an holonomic discipline that can produce
an Enantiodrommia

I have also put two other time lines that are important: Stieglers and Gebser, about the
conscience/mind evolution. If Time symbolism is Holon’s aesthetics, its nested self-referential
circular logic ((.)) enables an aperspectival position that enables, in turn, the symmetrical fractal
world.

From Stiegler, as an epistemic evidence not so direct but important to understand schematisme as
terciary memory, as is explained in xyz, related to culture industry where the cinema may be
considered as a metaphor of consciousness operation, attuned with the cinematic model of
Cognitive Semiotics. For Stiegler schematisme is “xyz”. The pharmakon concept is used in the
explanation of the three most important technologies that are trazeables that impacted the Human
nature.

1.2 A FORCED RE-ENTRY TO NOOLOGY: prolegómenos a una bridge metaphoric hypothesis


(enantiodromia)

Holism –the non-fragmented totality- is reduced with the recursion concept aesthetically to
epistemic functionalities that need be performed at any level in order to (re)create viability; after
Jung and Maturana y Varela, a mind faculty in the acoplamiento con el entorno. KC action arena so
is very particular: the identity crisis and the indeterminate state of affairs -in the
system/environment binome- urges for a new kind of causality (synchronicity); the point is –from a

fenomenología que en sí es simbólica. This is the post-modern condition and its effects, a crisis
situation everywhere: with a simulacro reality everywhere, the dual is over +++: the triadic form ((.))

1. ((.)) is a social geometry and it is arguable that the enactment it performs is some kind of recall of
primordial social order. It is also arguable that KC matches the idea of philosophy of change and,
from this and in reverse engineering, HA with some kind of archetypical order for consciousness
recreation, the triadic form, the magnificent three that overcomes duality.

2. An Existential domain regenerates current binary world model based on physical and concepts,
adding it as a new domain that DESENCADENA a transformational process. HA/KC singularity must
be treated as the performer of a new order, a new “world model” ontology22 for a holonomic
abductive movement, a semantic “resonant23” moment.

3. In the new order of new inner/outer relationships a metaphor is the main feature of an epistemic
synchronicity24, as a principle for a self-reference of the identification process. As far as KC uses HA
schema for an abductive moment it also is tracked to a new frontier of meaning generation
understandable through cognitive semiotics. Taking the abduction concept from this source, I have
found in Goppold an interesting interpretation of Noology (as intellection) and a work that is
conscient of the inabitation in this semantic world and an interpretation of how abduction might
operate. The triadic logic explored by Goppold leads to the Pattica xyz bouddhist in relation to co-
production causality- the three in one allure of its performance (which will be explored in 3.1.9
section).

4. The epistemic randonnée shows that the holonomic concept of self-reference synthetizes an
hypothesis of a worldview of something novel –an identity-, the schema operating in a special space
of significance for the symbolic process/moment of A=-A, also known by the enantiodromia and its
opposed concept: enantiomorphy (analyzed further), the challenge to overcome dual polarities.

5. In this epistemic world of symbolization, HA/KC nature shows its precise action arena that seems
to be the activation of the enantiodromia through ((.)). As social geometry, HA is a noological tool
and its singularity is about a shared experience of existence, a common lieu. The nous is its natural
environment, fitting with HA/KC since it is engaged in a psychosocial phenomenal creation, the
localization of collective Mind. The nous is not a monad, it is another way of thinking with a new
logic of a plural observer pertaining to an intersubjective domain, close to COMMON SENSE.

6. Within Noology we found the fertile topology about Ideas creation and their metamorphose,
actually a tropology: the field of practice where the abductive and metaphors take place. We can
now explicitate that the BMH and its holonomic triadic form ((.)) is about overcoming a paradox
through an auto identification (self-reference) that is expressed through a resymbolization process
done with the outer, in relation to an alterity (environment), so the relevance of this for a new
phenomenology, and will be the issue of the next part en la que se busca explorar a través de Janus
symmetry.

7. Janus 3°Obs will be used to explore KC/PNS complex since it allows to work the enantiodromia

the FVSD: the contextual knowledge, considering the epistemological gap and the construction of a

10. KC Abductive Observation and its Enantiodomic Predicate

“EAOP Fourfold Perspective”

La EAOP observation está asociada a una fenomenología (al centro), unidad transdisciplinaria de
cuatro espacios integrados, que vienen de dos (cuyo límite es la relación 1-4), que con sus simetrías
se obtiene el 4+1 (Totalidad). Annex II: holon labs.

2. Geometrical siege

The epistemic evidence of the previous part about the holonomic triadic form ((.)) tried to describe
its bridgeness' vertical schematisme and the pertinence of considering its answer arena within
Noology, where holonomy may be related to self-reference as the Bridge Metaphoric Hypothesis,
since fractals are in charge in current times to bridge the inner/outer dilemmas. Holonomy will be
exposed as the ability of projecting human affairs within a symmetry and as a way to enter into a
multidimensional reality, what was acknowledge in the previous part as a symbolic device.

Fractal thinking is required for what will be explained as Coincidentia Oppositorum (CO), a non dual
abductive crossing point that will be analysed as follows under the geometrical siege using Janus
visual metaphor as an attentional phenomena, and where ((.)) will be referencied. KC will be
analyzed as a 3° Order Observation as a new cognoscente subject with the capacity for bridging to
the CO point and the barzakh sufi concept (the CO-Barzakh link). This is where symmetry and self-
simmilarity materialize and that leads to the emergence of the alterity (or otherness) idea; from
them, the BMH will be expressed as a non duality assumption and referred to an alterity formally
linked to the Enantiodromia concept.

2.1 Deconstruction of Koestler’s Janus visual metaphor

In the intellection of the holonomic HA/KC nature and its circular logic (self-reference) emerges
symmetry as the core of this geometrical exploration and autonomy and freedom its philosophy, a
tribute to Beer25, since it was him who first operationalize managerially within new forms and how
to think with them, an incursion into the platonic solids and symmetry.

I will take Janus visuality as a metaphor of the attentional phenomena and I will get some insights
about how abduction may operate. In the quete of self similarity and new kind of relationships
(more symmetrical), the symbolic auto reference (circular logic) nature of Janus -as you may see- is
adequate to that purpose y se presto26 para realizer un ensayo geométrico sobre ((.)), as you will
see, that helped in a unusual way and that complements the theoretical part on the form of KC
schematisme.

As said, I found in the work of Peter Collins on holistic mathematics a way to explain its circular logic
that helps in the appreciation of symmetry as the key concept in this. Collins/Judge/Yolles rosetta

1. Koestler used Janus image as a visual metaphor which referentiates human attentional capability
about seeing inner/outer realms at once, looking -I will assume- for new kind of relationships for
leaving hierarchical structures, say, more symmetrical ones. Janus visuality is a two symmetrical
human faces –looking inner and outer realms- with a symmetrical axe, the limit of the
subjective/objective complex. In this special topological space, Janus figure is a reference for a full
consciousness identity: the inner reflects the outer, so the outer reflects the inner27.

2. The source that I shall consider for analyzing this symmetrical circularity is the work of Peter
Collins, a critique of Wilber’s integral theory, who has created an holistic mathematics trying to
explore circularity as the transformational process -say, intuitive understanding- using natural
numbers as dimensions. With binary digits 1 and 0 used both arithmetically and geometrically, he
conceived that linear (rational) and circular (intuitive) are the same aspect of a unified mathematics.
He explains that traditionally numbers are only used rationally, i.e., in its 1° dimensionality, but they
are also conceivable as dimensions, which are related to different circularities with transformative
characteristics.

3. The transformational uses 1 as line (linear) and 0 as circle (circular) that may encode hidden
relationships of the Real and which are diagrammables as the qualitative aspects of the natural
number system, constructing a holistic mathematics with three kind of circularities, with the
formulae “square root of X2n=1” as a generator of circularities to explain the Real, the Imaginary
and the Complex, enabler each one of a progressive holisitic perspective, the will known x8=1.

4. Based on these presuppositions about alterity:

We have a double binarism with symmetrical characteristics. He linked it to the attentional

enabled to be referentiated circularly with the Inner/Outer axe; say, the X affects the Y and the Y
affects X.

the last figure are the radial points (blue) as the complex plane, interpreted as trialectics that leads
to the CO-Barzakh analogy already quoted.

5. What is at issue in these circular logic categories is the regeneration of forms from a new order
accomplishment (say, the +1 effect) with the incorporation of systems qualities for a major capacity

to synthetize hidden dimensions29 with a higher order of consciousness that each holomathematic
1, 2 and 3 represent, all of them for overcoming some level of human paradoxes that renovation of
limits needs; the inner/outer, the individual/collective (or part/whole) and the form/emptiness
limits.

In each one there is a co-dependence in symmetry creation, which is worth to appreciate. That
means that all symmetries are a circular reference, being the last one (void/form) a 3ºObs that I will
relate to KC triadic form.

6. The holon is a concept and an image and as such a reference. The symmetry analysis shows its
relationship with self-reference ((.)); the triadic binarism behind Janus 3°Obs as self reference
perspective from the emptiness/form, a radial mathematics that allows a fruitful discussion about
attention and alterity that leads to the inner/outer verticality realms.

As I learned from you in the Tao of Cybernetics, behind the idea of JANUS deconstruction there is a
multi-symmetrical dimension of nested realities, the Human beneath them. So I can argue that what
is behind HA/KC is a projection of human affairs within a symmetry30 as a reference of many
dimensions that enables the regeneration of conscience; Judge talks, as said, about de rhythmic
resonance -attuned with a synchronicity principle- to materialize it.

7. 3° Obs es un sujeto cognoscedor nuevo. El tema ya no es la dualidad materialismo o idealismo y


Janus representa una capacidad de observar desde la nada las nuevas formas; a prodigous mind for
a systemic world, as well expressed by Jiliberto, where he intents to interpret the phenomenal
vacuity of the system concept in the evenential world.

8. JANUS as visual metaphor of a contemplative mind helps in grasping the capacity for overcoming
paradoxical thinking –also found in PNS- and for realizing its link with the Coincidentia Oppositorum
concept linked in occident to the mystic way of thinking. But also it is important in the orient –
specifically in the Barzakh sufi concept- about the transformational third order that sustains
binarism phenomenological world as a limit and where hidden polarities lay, and the place where
we found the Enantiomorphy forces. This is also related with the non-duality assumptions that have
a clear expression in the Advaita Vedanta; the expressed trialogics assumes that at some point there
is no separation with the outer, actually there is not outer: time/space are overcomed.

Koestler +1: cómo será la imagen de la no verticalidad? To work on Human paradoxes is finally an
aesthetic option y no queda más que trabajar en los puntos ciegos a llenar que éstas conllevan. To
think holonomicaly is a must when we need to reference a self-reference from within a system of
inquiry, with the relational observer/observed system clear about paradoxical features of situational
objects forms, and the Human itself implicate within it.

2.2 A forced reentry to Non-Duality: Alterity and ((.)) as the Non Separated Bridge
Metaphorical Hypothesis
If Time is the subject then the EP can only comes from the phenomenal vacuity, the void. I have

holomovement of an implicate order. 3°Obs offers the radicalization of Time use –to enter in the
Ever Present- that can only come in occident and orient from mysticism.

JANUS=3°Obs –understood as the radial perspective- is perfectible assimilable as a human

phenomenology of what is called the given by mysticism and abundance by Varela31.

This is a total new form to enter into phenomenology, with no similarity in occident. Nishida ++. The

1. As a contemplative mind, Janus as attentional phenomena shows that the point may be the place

the opposing forces with a 3ºObs. The point is this: the human/fractal nature of HST is
understandable with the CO-BARZAKH as a bridge metaphor of a permanent resymbolization as the
human task to overcome duality.

4. Phenomenologically this is also the search of Varela and its tribute to Nishida’s work on the basho
concept: it is the place –the predicative- that conforms the subject. This link Varela/Nishida implies
that there is an outer alterity but also an inner alterity, which is something worth to appreciate for
this essay; Varela talks about this immanence and the importance for the autopoiesis of the
autonom interpretative act from within, and Nishida has a quite subtle different perspective: for
him it is the predicative environment that activate the subject, the conscience.

5. If we accept that phenomenology is the empirism de la conciencia32 this Inner verticality allows a
new phenomenology (+1) forms from new outer alterities, temazo33 desde donde empezar a pensar

6. Como fragua de estas disquisiciones sobre sobre la abducción con el aporte la mística y los
principios de la no dualidad, uno puede llegar a preguntar is there allways a coincidentia
oppositorum in a real situation? Say, is there allways the cybernetic movement that talked Beer and
Malik about the fact that cybernetics show allways a hope for developmental process. So we can
ask which hidden dimensions are to be incorpored with a 3°Obs? And the answer: “las del holon”,
las del espíritu en la máquina. If holonomy, say, a high degree of human understanding of reality
and fractality and its bridges has to emerge as a new epistemology of science, emerges the bridge
metaphoric hypothesis: todo lo que existe tiene una alteridad con la que tiene que “fusionarse”, for
a while, en los momentos de crisis.

7. This is the main thesis of DtA. In an intense chapter of DtA named “For a Enantiomorphy polity”
quoting Jonsohn, we have to enter through this matter in order to avoid violence. We need to
produce the Alternation and these needed to be clarify. Since the phenomenon of blind spots is, as

an intersubjective dimension.

Engineering work on images and a rhetorical appreciation of the schema concept as quoted by Stiegler
to direct the attention to the noumenal or what we call, the domain of the logical relational and where

Annex II The Metasystem of HOLON LABS

I would like to describe the holon use within Holon*Labs project, which is a social construction that
started as a common agenda on 2004 as a multidisciplinary open space that turned around the
Modeling and Methodological aspects of social cognition, rooted in civil engineering group. As I can
see now, the praxis of laboratizing knowledege was an engineering intrusion on social sciences in
the field of action research, soft methodologies and dialog design. We were attracted to the
sociotechnology concept borrowed to the Engineering School of Universidad de Chile and used in a
systems atelier about Maturana&Varela48. I will assume that we were immersed in a bigger
narrative, the cross of Knowledge Management (KM) and Systems Sciences, as we have realized
after, that poured in the use of a quaternary fractal as a Holon visual metaphor.

1. We had started exploring different KM Modeling techniques to deal with complex situations
interventions from Checkland, Ackoff, and Beer’s Viable System Model (VSM) and Team Syntegrity
protocol. Their techniques evidenced an inclusive approach for incorporing different perspectives
at issue related to human purposes and the explicitation of heuristic based on pre-dedined cycles
based on knowledge creation (frameworks). El trabajo con SAH se abría al espectro de lo político y
lo cultural, lo que probablemente buscábamos en su momento.

2. From the point of view of its schematisme, the fourthfull Holon fractal was influenced by 1)

5. We put the “objects” at the fourth quadrant of a 4-dimensional synchronicity –a very special

The focus in this kind of interventions is the emergent human/machine interfase and the
acceleration of production, cause of the stress. The research was finally oriented to construct a
