Shapes and Design Philosophy
The traingle is a shape that typically represents strength and stability.
It can also be seen as a symbol of masculinity. As we are targeting men,
I think this was the best shape to use in the design.
With regards to the logo, I used the circlular shape as a head but
also to represent the sense of completeness that you can achieve with our products.
As circles can come to represent wholeness or perfection.
The glasses added a cool/hip feel to brand.
The idea of green and brown colours came from the fact that I didn’t find that
much skin care research that related to balck males
so I thought that putting a brown skin male as our logo
would really help emphasize who we are targeting, brown to dark skin males.
The green came specifically from research indicating that people would like
natural oils and ingredients in their skin products.
Typography In-depth
Quiska typeface - TYPE FOR NAME/HEADERS I chose Quiska because it has a modernish vibe
while still having some characteristic flair about the
letters as seen with the swirls, I also thought that
Panther
these swirls would work well with the circular
shape I used. It would also play into the natural
feeling of a handwritten script - while still retaining
some boldness.
