CONDITIONS – GENERAL

The actual working practice of the contractor in his use of the equipment is
beyond the control of PERI but the following points should be noted as
follows:
 The equipment is offered for sale or hire and it is the responsibility of the user
to ensure his working practice complies with Peri literature, local laws and all
relevant codes of practice.

 Only PERI manufactured system components and accessories should be

used- i.e. ties, anchors, mounting rings, plugs, wingnut and rods etc.

 Components should not be altered, cut or welded. Should any component

show signs of physical damage, neglect, corrosion or mistreatment, it should
be replaced and not re-used.

 For any add on items not supplied by PERI as standard system components
e.g. handrailing, planking, support for soffit of forms etc. These items must be
designed and installed by the contractor to suit any relevant Australian
Standards or local Authority requirements. These items must be detailed in
the contractors work method statement and PERI takes no responsibility for
these add on items.

 The scaffold brackets must be fully planked out and handrailing must be
properly installed.

 If in a situation there is inadequate safety/access, a safety line and harness

must be used.

 System must be erected to suit PERI literature only.

 Where soffit of form is not supported on ground contractor is to ensure that

proposed support is of sufficient capacity to take dead and live loads to suit
and panels in this case may need bottom fixing to this support. This is up to
the contractor’s requirements and PERI takes no responsibility for the design
of this support or the base fixing of panels to this support. (For weights of
PERI equipment refer PERI TRIO range brochure) These items must be
detailed in the contractors work method statement

Section 4 ERECTION OF SHUTTERS;

1. Locate area where ganged shutters are to be positioned to suit drawing.
Ensure this area is safe, clear, proper PPE is maintained, and the area is
capable of accepting footprint of ganged shutter and propping/braces (as
applicable). (Propping/braces only required on 1st side of wall form)
2. From section 3 item 22 raise ganged panel up into position and locate as per
drawing.
3. For 1st ganged panel section (Note: Not adjoining already positioned ganged
panels)
For 1st side of shutter – Fix propping/braces to panels and secure to deck by
either masonry anchors to concrete or with ‘Z’ bar and wingnuts through solid
timber (ply and bearers – ensuring bearers can take induced loading.) Crane
and lifting equipment cannot be detached from ganged panel until panel is
securely braced.
For 2nd side of shutter - (1st side of shutter and wall reinforcement already in
position) Position ties (DW15 ties including cones and spacers) through 1 st
side and 2nd side of shutter and fit wingnut pivot plates to outside of shutters
and securely tighten. Crane and lifting equipment cannot be detached from
ganged panel until panel is securely tied with ties and wingnut pivot plates.
(Note: Proper PPE is to be maintained to detach lifting gear from panel.)
4. For 2nd and subsequent ganged panel section (Note: Adjoining already
positioned ganged panels)
For 1st side of shutter – Fix propping/braces to panels and secure to deck by
either masonry anchors to concrete or with ‘Z’ bar and wingnuts through solid
timber (ply and bearers – ensuring bearers can take induced loading.) Join
adjacent ganged panels together, including fabricated timber/steel fillers as
applicable, in locations as indicated on drawings using BFD Alignment
couplers (refer assembly of shutters item 7). Crane and lifting equipment
