 ABSTRACT

This abstract presents a theoretical framework of “ONLINE HOTEL Reservation SYSTEM”. In

our project, we have tried to show how customers can search and reserve rooms of their own
preference online.

The main aim of the entire activity is to automate the process of day to day activities of Hotel
like room activities, admission of a new customer, assign a room according to customer’s
demand, providing payment facility and finally compute the bill. The limited time and resources
have restricted us to incorporate, in this project, only the main activities that are performed in a
Hotel Reservation System, but utmost care has been taken to make the system efficient and user
friendly.

This project is used by two types of users:-

1. Online users
2. Administrator (management of the Hotel)
 INTRODUCTION

In today’s world, travel and tourism has been exponentially growing. People travel places around
the world, so they also need some place to stay but why people should waste their time and
energy searching manually for an ideal place to stay when anyone can book a place of their own
choice in a fraction of time?

The proposed “Online Hotel Reservation System” allows any user to access information about
the hotel where they can search and book a room according to their budget and necessities.

The aim of our entire activity is to automate the process of day to day activities of Hotels like
Room activities, Admission of new customer, assigning room according to customer’s demand
and generating a bill.
 OBJECTIVE

The main objective of Online Hotel Management System project are:

 to provide a user friendly interface for searching and booking hotel rooms online. This
system will help automate the process of managing and booking rooms online.

 With the views of availability of rooms in real time, it provides people seeking room
reservation with accurate information about available accommodation and makes
booking of rooms without any error and without creating conflicts.

 allow efficient organization of the bookings.

 CONCLUSION

While developing the system, a conscious effort have been made to create and develop a

software package, making use of available tools, techniques and resources that would

generate a proper system.

While making the system, an eye has been kept on making it as user- friendly and as

flexible as possible. As such one may hope that the system will be acceptable to any user

and will adequately meet his/her requirements.

Working on this project was a good experience. It taught how important every step is in

developing a software.
