0.1 Tsunami 1
The first tsunami in occurred on September 28, 2018 in Central Sulawesi province.
The tsunami was triggered due to an earthquake of magnitude 7.5 whose epi-
centre as per USGS was 70km North of Palu city in Central Sulawesi province.
The earthquake was caused by movement on the Palu-Koro fault .The depth of
the earthquake was 20Km as per USGS data which can be classified as shallow
earthquake. The tsunami caused maximum damage in Donggala and Palu city.

The second tsunami occurred on December 22, 2018 in Javas Banten Province.
The tsunami was triggered due to undersea landslide due to volcanic eruption by
Anak Krakatoa volcano in Sunda Strait. The tsunami caused maximum damage
in Serang and Pandeglang districts on the west coast of Banten province in Java.
