The boy in the striped pajamas

John Boyne

Bruno never imagined that his life could change so much. In the book “The boy in the
striped pajamas”, John Boyne tells about family, friendship, barriers, death and loss from a child's
point of view .This book shows about true friendship and the value of life.

I. True friendship
a. With his old friends
b. With Shmuel

II. Value of life

a. When Shmuel and Bruno look for Shmuel’s father
b. When Bruno’s father notice what he has being doing

In this book we can learn about true friendship and value of life. When Bruno becomes friend of
Shmuel and forgot about his other three friends he realizes about how great a true friendship can
be, we notice it when the book says: “He looked down and did something quite out of character
for him: he took hold of Shmuel's tiny hand in his and squeezed it tightly. "You're my best friend,
Shmuel," he said. "My best friend for life.”. Also he learned about some invisible barriers that
people have but he overcomes them as only a child can. I really liked this book because you can
learn values from a child's point of view and how those values change his life.
